Anyone else think it's poor that jake Lehmann is sitting on the hill watching the game with friends?

Sponsors product in hand?

Cosgrove has done it all game.....no different to a club game doing a lap when you are out for a globe.

Cosgrove came and had a chat for half an hour on day one after he got out as well

Not sure whether I think it's a good idea or not

If we get even 200 in front, it's enough for hope. Hopefully, with an overcast day and a late day 4/early day 5 pitch our seamers will prove a huge handful. Just got to at least give them enough to play with. I think if we get through to stumps without losing more the game is still a lot closer to 50/50 than it might seem.

One positive no matter what we we look at this is the form of Weatherald. We've been aching for an opener all season and he looks like a top find.

Agreed, he's played two impressive yet differing knocks. Hopefully he hangs round for a fair whack of tomorrow.

Had a mate play a season with Weatherald in Darwin and apparently he was one of the hardest working batsmen you will ever see

Some days would spend up to six hours working on his batting

Was that when hew as at the best club in Darwin, Darwin CC where he played as a junior and some a couple of years of As, or that hack club Tracey Village....

We need a double century and a ton from both of these blokes (they can raffle who does what) and a two 50s from 7, 8 or 9.

Basically we have to be 7 (no more than 8) down tomorrow at stumps
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Yep, bat till tea and we're half a chance. Big ask though. Weatherald's two innings very impressive.

Didn't say he was a hack, he was "brought up proper" at the best club for junior development for the past 35 years in Darwin, (nods to Benji, Fordy, Ronnie, Bonz, Dicko and Dringy)

The club he got recruited to though is shite (if I can make runs against them in senior cricket it says it F***ing all!!!!!!)

Back on topic, batting to tea tomorrow is not enough IMO need to bat until at least stumps to be any chance (Vic chasing over 300 on a fifth day wicket)

Yep agree on the 200 part. Interesting to see the Vics and ball tampering today.

For who was there yesterday what are your thoughts on Head throwing the ball back to the keeper of his own bowling and then Handscombe smashing the ball away to the deep wid wicket boundary one bounce. Never in my years of cricket have I seen a batsman stupid enough to risk his wicket doing that even if he was well and truly entrenched in his crease....

The only thing wrong the batsman did was belt it one bounce into the fence, provided he was in his ground.......After he hit it he didn't attempt to take a run nor was he given 4 for it either.

if he went to say hello for 20 mins, ok, if he was sitting there then i dont think its ok

stampy wrote:******* ****, how can you get run out???

have to give a lot of credit to wade for the runout. ball was dropped down to short square leg, and wade raced after it, dived, picked up, turned around, and threw all in the one motion and thew it 20 odd metres right above the bails
