Stupid shot by Steve East Coast Smith
Tried a reverse sweep ,missed, out LBW 215
He thought he could reverse sweep like Glenn Maxwell

Tubby talking absolute rubbish lol.

Well batted Smudge!

16 runs needed by Johnson to get to 2000 test runs. And six needed for Nevill for a half century, good start to his test career

4/30 Johnson gets Root .. That was vintage Mitch, set him up with pace and menace, then give him a quick one to flick at outside off

Just woke up to check the score and I was very pleasantly surprised! What a great position we've got ourselves in, great start by the three quicks.

Stumps days two

Australia 8/566 dec from 149 overs

England 4/85 (was 4/30 when Root fell)
Johnson 2/16 from 6 overs
Hazelwood 1/22 from 10
Starc 1/29 from 7

4/88 probably doesn't do justice to how well we bowled last night, the paceman were causing all sorts of problems every over for the Poms. Whilst he might have had a bit of luck at times Cook showed some fair spine.

And not for the first time. When England struggle, that's when Cook steps up. I reckon he's the next Kallis, Sangakarra in terms of getting due recognition about his abilities late in his career. I think he's already England's all time leading run scorer. Despite his first test flop I still rate Cook as the key wicket.
