Another stress fracture in his back.

Sadly time to take up lawn bowls I think.

Girlish, I wonder how many games DK or Thommo would've played in today's day and age.

Correct B Mac.... DK did his back in and had at least 12 months out of the game, probably more. Yeah they do play more nowdays, but they did train back in the day as well. To be honest the best thing they could do is get a bloke like DK Lillee working with him on his action, to lessen the impact on his body. I am currently reading the Glenn McGrath book. He credits DK with making minor changes to his action that he feels made him a more "durable" bowler. Oh for another DK or Ooohh Aaggghh right now!

Probably did 10 times and tore/strained muscles that would now result in a 3 month lay off.

Problem now is guys like Nathan Bracken sue them if they're played injured or not given the "appropriate" duty of care.

Disappointing, but safety first is fair enough. Understand the Bangers cricket admin are saying the threat is not credible.....hard to really know though from here.

Why can't the Bangers come here?

Bit late for a Northern Australia tour and Hobart is still a bit dodgy with the weather but I'm sure the Eastern States would love to have 2 Test matches this year.....

A minnow country like Bangers would want a strongish team like Australia to tour there.... imagine a Bangers victory over us on home soil.... it would be huge for them and the game over there!

just the interest in the game increases massively when a heavyweight goes there.

Thats why i thought it was awesome that we have played a one dayer against ireland recently when over there

I agree B Mac.... I get the feeling the Bangers locals are about as cricket mad as the Indians at any rate, but it would be great if we can tour there, rather than them come here. Still safety first, if our lads did go, and there was in incident, we would be the first to complain about it.

Not sure if the main stream have picked this up because they have been too busy fapping themselves over Chris Gayle's shenanigans.....but Australia are not sending the Under 19's to the World Cup in Bangladesh. Disappointing for the lads supposedly 'selected' for this tournament.
