We seemed to struggle when he left last time. New Zealand have definitely struggled since the highly regarded Shane Bond left their setup.

Good bowling coaches are worth their weight in gold, who do we replace him with?

Could be a blessing in disguise, our injury rate in that department has been alarming during his reign, whether there's any correlation or not might be revealed.

Our fast bowlers were Lemons long before Billy rolled up. Although the mismanagement of Starc in particular was a worry this Summer.

I'm struggling to see how injuries are his fault. One of the stranger comments I've read. Even stranger then if the bowling coach is somehow responsible that people might suggest Ryan Harris of all players.

Anyway, thought that McDermott did some great things. Specifically, he seemed to be able to get bowlers to hit the right line and length for a pitch better than most bowling coaches. Whether he just identified the spots better or had a knack of managing the bowlers better I'm not sure. Probably a bit of both.

Another attempted dig at me LOL.

Bowling coach controls training regimes: All of our top bowlers seem to get injured on a regular basis, quite simple how I wondered if there is some correlation.

Lol. You can get paranoid if you like, but I see a stupid comment I'll call it out. If I seem to call you out a bit then it's just simply what you're writing. A bowling coach's responsibility is to help the bowlers with strategies and techniques when necessary. The workload is someone else's responsibility.

Paranoid? You say the sweetest things. I shall just sit back and admire your infinite wisdom and hopefully learn from you.

This comes as a shock-

Former Tasmania quick to be Australia's bowling coach for tour of the West Indies.

Western Australia bowling coach Adam Griffith has been drafted in for Australia's upcoming tour of the West Indies.
