Poms v Pakis

Postby Grenville » Fri Jul 15, 2016 8:44 pm

Good start to this Test, Pakis 6/295 early on in day 2. Misbah another ton, a very underestimated cricketer. Has managed to make a glut of runs whilst keeping the Pakistan team a united, competitive unit. Best skipper since Imran.

I'll post in this thread the because the big boss Bennymacca prefers seperate threads. ;)

Pakistan 339- Misbah 114 (199)

England currently 1/27, Hales the man out for 6. Root in at number 3, great move by England he needs to bat 3. That is overshadowed by Gary Ballance earning a recall, Garry f**king Ballance they're taking the piss picking him again. Wow, he is shit!

Pakis with 3 left arm fast bowlers. When was the last time that would have happened for any team

He has a good record.

Ballance is bribing the selectors surely. I just can't understand how a bloke with an awful technique that has showed he's not up to it can get another game.

Yorkshire are considered a big club. Their home ground hosts Test Matches. Yorkshire are also going through a successful period with the past 2 County Championships.

Somerset are none of that.

England in complete control at 1/106 trailing by 233, Cook 55 and Root 44.

The Pakistani quicks have bowled poorly but Amir in particular hasn't been helped by the fieldsman behind the wicket. Cook has been dropped twice now. First drop at first slip and now by the keeper Ahmed. Both were sitters.

Yasir shah is a leg spinner mate, bowls right handed. They have fielded 3 left Armers a few times over the past year or two.

Can't understand our selections, vinca never should of been in the bloke averages 30 against div 1 sides and balance hasn't made a run in county cricket this year. Borthwick deserved a shot, has made huge runs over last 2 years playing on the hardest wicket in count cricket. Should also play butler and tell him to play naturally.

Well as soon as I turned off and went to bed it was all Pakistan, all Yasir Shan. The leggie took 5/64 ripping through the English middle order. Pakistan needed that as Root and Cook, who chopped on to Amir, were looking good.

England 7/253, trialing by 86
Cook 81, Root 48

The left arm spinner the Pakis have is Babar. Not sure if he's on this tour, bowls a lot like Herath from Sri Lanka.
