First session on day 3, a ball from Liam Dawson just kept nice and low. Good pitch india.

Nair 186*

England have now used 8 bowlers :D

If there was any doubt about the Indians being all about the individual theres not anymore. Just ridiculous that they have batted on to allow Karun Nair to make 300. They now have about 15 minutes to bowl at the poms after being in the field for more than 2 days. Any Aussie team wouldve declared 2 hours ago

Stumps day 4
India 7/759 declared
Nair 303 not out (381 balls so scored pretty quickly)
Ashwin 67
Jadeja 51

England 2nd innings 0/12. I reckon England will capitulate on the last day and hand India a 4-0 series win.

How can you not score quickly on their ridiculously lightning fast outfields.
Cricket in India is a joke and so boring to watch.
Their pitches are either doctored raging turners or roads like this one. No wonder they're so shit out of their own country

Actually they are ok at the moment around the world. Not as solid as at home but still they have been better over the years.

There issue is a decent pace battery. At home on those raging turners or as you put it correctly roads, they almost play 2 -3 spinners who bowl the majority of over. So of these spinners have not had much success around the world such as Jadeja for example. Not sure how well he has gone outside India.

Then they are faced with a quality ragung seamer and they habe 1 or 2 quicks who can really make the ball talk and then just some honest trundlers.

Uncle Mo Mathews was talking about this the other day. Look at all the quicks Pakistan have produced over the years from Akram, Waqar, Ahktar, Khan, Nawaz now we are seeing Amir and Riaz over the 140kmph mark.

India? Kapil Dev, Khan and Srinath don't really get you hopping about!

India pushed the Aussies very far during their last tour in Australia. I don't think the Aussies will fair much on the tour in India. I'd love to say we will win. I think we will do good in some innings. But I can see us losing 4 - 0.

Thats true and the point I was making. Ishant Sharma goes alright. Sharmi and Yadev have pace but christ sometimes when they lose control it really goes to shit.

Certainly notnof the caliber of the Pakistani quicks.

Its interesting that pakistan have a long history of great fast bowlers - their pitches arent that much different than indias.

Shows that it has to be something else involved too

And yes, we will get smacked in india imo. I just hope the selectors dont lose their head and stick with the current crop

Yes we will find it hard over there. They will road it up with some auto combustio decks that look like shit after 150 overs.

Ashwin looms as the danger man for us with a range of spinners being a problem too. Loo for at India to play at least 3 spinners against us.

One of Australia's main plans (I know it's going to be hard to execute) will be obviously trying to deny Ashwin wickets and blunt his effect as much as possible. When Ashwin is on top of the opposition it helps Jadeja alot as the two have showed they're are brilliant in tandem so if we can blunt Ashwin's impact that will make it hard for Jadeja. As I said it will be very hard for the Aussies execute. Perhaps impossible.

Watching him a fair bit this year, Ashwin is not a huge turner of the ball and looks like he bowls quite flat compared someone like Harbhajan Singh, it's his natural variation and changes of pace that are are his biggest weapons.

Yes I agree with you there. Blunt Ashwin is the key. How to do it is the million dollar question.

Over the years we have gone out there and tried to defend and been towled up. I think the key is to attack the spinners. Ashwin mayne not so much but Jadeja maybe so. Maybe really go after him and see what happes.

19 overs to go, England only have 3 wickets in hand. Can they salvage a draw?
