Sri Lanka 3/120
Karunaratne 59
Watched about the last hour or so, Afridi and Shah have bowled good areas and look more in control than they did in Aus. Interestingly Pakistan dropped Yasir Shah and have gone with the 4 quicks as Melbourne Renergades recruit Usman Shinwari makes his debut. According to Cricinfo this is the first time in 24 years that Pakistan have played a home test match without a specialist spinner.

They just had to remove a steel peg that was left in the ground, bloody lucky no-one had hurt themselves on it.

Great to see Test cricket being played back in Pakistan, the neutral venue games by and large lacked an edge.

Hopefully their citizens respect it and see how valuable it is for them to be playing at home, we wouldn’t have flogged them like we did over here.

Vernon Philander set to retire at the end of the Saffers home series against the Poms.

Very good but I think under rated bowler. Took 216 wickets in 60 tests with an average of 22.16.

I feel like he could of kept playing a few more years as South Africa probably still need him around, a good career with very good numbers nevertheless.

Seems like an early retirement to me. Is he battling injuries or something?

Paki players very emotional after the game, their first win at home for 13 years, they were very thankful to the Sri Lankans for agreeing to play in Pakistan, hopefully other countries now follow.
