Finally little bit of grit and guts out there.

Good to see Head get some runs as well.

Usman my man of the match.
Australia's highest forth innings total in 46 years.

We scored 406 in 2009 against the Poms.
Hussey said that in the telecast, must be in Asia.

I think he said it was the LONGEST 4th innings in 46 years.

Actually if there had been any contribution at all from anyone with surname of Marsh we might have even pulled off a win.

Heres a thought... how much is this back to the walls result attributed to Langer? I am not sure Boofs approach would have got this result.

Did you take the $17 available during Day 3? or the $20 after the 7th wicket fell last night?

Was thinking the same thing post game, Uzi is a classic example, not sure he would have shown that grit, determination & patience under Boof.

Without him we would have been beaten by an innings.

He would be one tired boy, apart from 2 hours he was out there the whole 5 days.

I mentioned that in my post and couldn't agree more.

I reckon showing determination will be the bare ass minimum for a player in Langer's teams.

Tim Paine survives the last over
The star PA legspinner had a poor game until late on day 5 and ended up with 4 second innings wickets
Pre match Yasir had taken several consecutive 5 wicket hauls in Test cricket
I reckon he needed 1 or 2 more to have the most 5 fors in a row in Test history?

So Tim Paine survives the first 5 balls of Yasirs last over
1 ball left, 2 wickets to take, and PA call the game off

Why not let Yasir bowl the last ball and have a chance to get another 5 wicket haul ?
Im sure Tim Paine didnt mind, not out is always better than the potential out
PA play for 5 days , why not 1 more ball ?
