Yeah Im a Jadeja fan also, bloody hard being good at one thing in modern day test cricket and maintaining your form, let alone both.

Is Stokes the best all round cricketer in the world right now?

Jadeja from India very handy also.

Bat Ave Bowl Ave
Stokes 36.16 32.92
Jadeja 35.46 24.64

Stokes more damaging with the bat & has made more centuries although bats a lot higher than Jadeja.

Stokes is a moment player, he lives for the big occasion. Get him in a test against a lower nation and we are dominating he will do bugger all. His batting has also got much better in the past 12 months. Jadeja is a great player but his bowling is really only good in india and he comes in at 8 when india are usually 6 for 400 where as stokes come in at 3 for bugger all every time.

Absolutely he is IMO, a match winner with the bat, bowling and in the field too, he is England's best fieldsman. There was talk of him maybe not bowling as much anymore as he's now batting number 5 but when I saw him bowling 140kph and swinging it last night I thought there's no way he can't be not bowling and it is unnecessary for England to play 4 quicks like they did in the first test against SA.

Australia 1993-94 and 2013-14 IIRC

Arguably Clarkes finest innings 161* with a broken scapula.

Tough

His best and worst are poles apart, that’s his downfall IMO.

Definitely capable of being the best, you can’t put brains in a statue though.

Bit of confusion going on here?

That list is Supersport Park Centurion, South Africa have a record of 20 wins, 3 draws and 2 losses, as you mentioned.

The latest South Africa v England test match was at Newlands in Cape Town, where Clarke made the 161* in 2014 that AM Bays mentioned.
Since their reintroduction into test cricket South Africa have lost 5 test matches at Newlands-
England- 2020
Australia- 2014, 2006, 2002 and 1994
Draws in 1993 (against India), 2004 (West Indies), 2006 (New Zealand), 2010 (England), 2011(India) and 2016 (England).

Anderson ruled out of the final 2 Tests with a rib injury. Archer should be back for the next Test.

You’d think Jos Butler has achieved the world in test cricket with the way he carried on with Philander.

Love Banter between two good players but Butler is a peanut.

I watched most of the last day and that was test cricket at its best, so many momentum changes.

Jos is known for not saying a word so thats truly bizarre. Way over the top and unnecessary.

South Africa v England, third test at St George's Park in Port Elizabeth.
England won the toss and elected to bat, they are currently 1/84.
Sibley gone for 36 and Crawley is 31*

Been slow going so far. I thought the Saffers might have juiced up the deck a little, but no, it's pretty dead.

England score session by session day 1
0/61
2/117
4/224
38* Stokes
39* Pope

OBSERVATIONS
Pope looks a very good batsman, his technique is Kane Williamsonesque
Only 117 runs at tea
Every batter got a start 44/36/25/27/38*/39*
Rabarada prob should be opening the bowling, not being a change bowler
