Maxwell, Cartwright, Wade. The weakest 5,6,7 I've ever seen play for Australia. Maxwell is a six at best, Don't rate Cartwright and Wade is a disgrace.

Wade 2 centuries have been against WI and Sri Lanka. 2 of the worst attacks in International cricket.
Averages less the 20 in his last 10 tests.

Not even his batting that frustrates me most - it's his very average glove work in the most important fielding position!

Give me a genuine glove man anyday!

Take out his byes and dropped catches and he would average about -40

I can only hope Wade is dropped and Nevill returns for the Ashes.

Batting for a keeper is a must have skill these days, Bairstow will towel up Wade in the Ashes. Bairstow will at least triple Wades average over the summer

True, but they can all bat these days.. damn even the bowlers can bat.. you don't get through the grade system and into first class system unless you're proficient at multiple aspects of the game.

I'd rather have a genuine keeper who is going to give me a solid 20-50 most innings at number 7, than Wade who will have a flash in the pan knock once in a blue moon, miss half a dozen chances and let through more byes than he scores runs.

If you're relying on your keeper/batsman at #7 to hit you 100's then you need to ask WTF is going on with the 6 above!

Totally agree but the keeper and tail still need to muster a good 150 for the last 4-5 wickets IMO

Wade is gone after this series surely

Bairstow is only going to average 24 for the Ashes? That's pretty good work by the Aussies.
