So you would assume:

Warner
Renshaw
Khawaja
Smith
Handscomb
Maxwell
Wade
Cummins
Agar/Pattinson
Lyon
Hazlewood

Cartright 13th man.

O'Keefe very stiff not to be selected IMO, unfortunately he gave the selectors a reason not to pick him and of course they took it. I still don't rate Agar as a red ball cricketer but at least they didn't just drop him and he's worth another go I guess.

Good for Cartwright to get selected, went back to WA after his test debut and piled on the runs doing his chances of a recall no harm.

Trevor Hohns :

"Whilst Steve O'Keefe bowled well in Pune, he did not maintain this level in the remaining matches of the series and we believe the timing is right for Ashton to enter the set-up and test his all-rounder ability,"

"Ashton has continued to impress us with his form and we believe his bowling is at a level where he deserves to be playing on the highest stage. He will work nicely in tandem with Nathan Lyon and also brings a great all-round package to the team."

so if they play two spinners you would think cartwright will play ahead of maxwell. But more likely they go with 3 quicks with maxwell. guess it depends on the pitch

Yup, I suspect the above is correct. Maxi safe for a little while following his 100 in India.

Can't say I'm surprised at this lol- James Pattinson is out of the test squad for Bangladesh because of back inflammation. Jackson Bird will replace him.

Yep so f**king frustrating that he can't stay on the park. He was having such a good county season and things were looking up for him and now that he's broken down again it's hard to see him ever getting a decent career at international level

Very happy to see Uzi get recalled. Agar is a dynamic cricketer but has alot to prove. Hoping both have good series.

Be prepared for a rank turner of a pitch. If you think the Indians doctor pitches, the bangas are almost worse.
