Ireland have worked hard for years to get this and Afghanistan have had the most rapid rise through the ranks to get there.

reckon this is great news. Hopefully the Aussies put in the effort to play them.

Surely whenever we play England or Pakistan we can tack on a Test against Ireland or Afghanistan

For one I would love to see us bring back the games in northern australia like when we played Bangladesh and Zimbabwe - we need to be playing those lower ranked nations at least once in a while, for the health of the game
