Went to my first game this year. Great atmosphere. Ironjack only at the scoreboard bar is rough. Had to walk to the eastern stand to get a super dry

Great innings by Carey. You'd think he's played himself into an Aussie appearance there, either in the T20s or one dayers

Surely he’s a show for the T20 squad

I know, its crazy, mind you a 40 metre walk to get served straight away would have been a blessing in the days I used to drink at Adelaide Oval. I work in the Eastern Stand bar and we're flat out as people from the hill come to us and the hill bar is empty. Ironically someone complained to me tonight because we didnt have mid strength!

Itll all be mid strength at the one dayer coming up in the outer, another reason I was a member when I was a spectator. If I was a spectator these days Id sit as near to the south eastern corner as possible so I could drink Little Creatures Pale Ale all night. Yum.

Well the craft bar is a bit further around, yes. But that’s a bloody long way for a beer.

(Usually half time in the footy we do that)

Beer prices are getting ridiculous though. I was happy to pay $9 for a super - expensive but whatever. But $9.4 for a mid strength? And likely the worst beer going around at the moment? That’s robbery.

How long have they had Little Creatures at the Craft Bar? Ive only noticed it there recently and am sure last time I looked there during the footy season it was James Squire. Stoked about the improvement, not a big fan of James Squire but I love Little Creatures.

Have noticed during the BBL the craft only bars. Not too bad, don't mind it at all. Mind you i was drinking anything i could get my hands on last night. Work is very painful today!

Reckon they may have had the Rogers during footy but it 100% sure.

I mostly get the james squire porter during footy season which is pretty decent

After my first experience

It was hot!
Most fans around us know nothing about cricket
Was bored to begin with but gradually got more interested (hi TC)
Man right behind me decided he needed to commentate every ball....badly.
Beer was cold and plentiful
Some of the entertainment was naff (TMNT)
Benny thought the atmosphere was good, I thought it was subdued and expected more buzz
Plenty of eye candy

Love the Adelaide Oval, absolute picture

Would I go back for a T20? Probably only if the family wanted to. Would I go to a Test or Shield game certainly

Yeah I laughed at the outer gasping when the free hit that was skyed wasn't caught by the keeper, obviously don't even understand what a free hit is!

I know people that go that have never ever been interested in cricket, I guess its a good thing.

I take it for what it is, my kids love it....plus its handy betting on run lines as the live action is a few seconds ahead of the TV 8)

Yep, I went with my mate who invited a whole bunch of his friends as it was his birthday. Half of them didn’t know much about cricket, but that’s the point - it’s easy to get on the beers for 3 hours and watch a game. Doubt many of them would have gone to a full ODI

Thanks, gave my young lad $50 to get a packet of hot chips and gave me a plastic card as change. Forgot about it being cashless
