Smith yes but Warner maybe on the Melbourne and Sydney tracks only. Didn't/doesn't have the skill, technique, intelligence or mentality to rival the other 3 on anything but a road.

Harris got a bit lucky with that dirty hack down the ground.

Pitch doesn't look threatening at all

Bumrah changing his pace up already, something Aussie bowlers did not do.

Kawaja gets himself out. Looked scratchy all innings.

Big test and big opportunity for Labuschagne who almost goes first ball to a terrific yorker

What to do with Khawaja

His best is world class

His our countries best player of pace

His not even up to shield standard against spin and his getting exposed in most innings now

Can he remain a long term option in the team with such a big weakness.

That Yorker from Bumrah would have removed plenty of batsmen.

Got himself out. What a spaz because although he looked a bit scratchy he managed to get to 27 without playing well. Sort of tells you a bit about the deck.

Whilst we all point the finger at the selectors for undermining our chances of winning this Test series (and rightly so), much of the blame must also rest with the curators in Melbourne and Sydney. The decks that have been prepared at these venues are in the tourist's favour which is unforgivable.

This should have been a 5 Test series. It is ridiculous that Brisbane missed out on hosting the First Test. We haven't lost there in 30 years.

I am filthy that we have virtually gifted a first ever win in Australia to Kohli and co - something I never wanted to see in my lifetime.

Given he's our only player with a test average in the 40s, he stays for a while, but his trouble with spin will remain a problem.

It's hard to teach an old dog new tricks, so given that he's now 32 I'd be surprised if he gets any better against spin as well.

Agree entirely.

Four and two test series are the bane of my existence. Apart from the fact that it's an even number, winning a close-fought four test series has a slightly unsatisfactory feel about it, given that you don't know what would have happened had there been a fifth test. Surely if you're going to have four, you might as well have five?

I'd rather have had 5 v India and 1 v Sri Lanka, or 3 v each of them.
