Is it us and our view of the angle we believe exists that is incorrect.
Where we used to think hitting middle/leg meant missing maybe that was an over estimate of the angle that in reality existed as proven by DRS

A lot depends on whether batsman plays forward or back
Getting hit in front of middle playing BACK to a ball angling down leg, it's still likely to hit the stumps as ball only has 2 feet to travel
Play FORWARD and get hit in same spot the ball will clearly miss. Those few feet forward or back are massive as to whether an angled ball will hit or miss. Marsh playing from the crease, was extremely unlucky to be given. Far too much doubt but umpire obviously saw it different.
Aust have bigger problems going forward than that 1 decision tho.
