Maybe Styen and co blowed the first of the innings at the WACA?

Our batting sure blowed

Drop in pitches, they swapped the good, fast swinging one SA used for a dolice road during the innings break

Couple of early wickets and we are in with a chance

You would’ve been better off buying 3 pints mate.

Throwing money on the floor

Should of seen my face when NCN opened the bowling

Thats minnow stuff, would even Zimbabwe have a record as bad as that?
Going to be a long summer. I think we should take a punt a prepare green tops for the tests against India, so what if they are over in 3 days at least we would be 50/50 on those wickets, if we prepare roads they will beat us into submission over 4 - 5 days

I know you love shit canning him and for awhile I tended to like listening to him and agreed with his theories but lately I have enough and I'm with you now. #markwaughisadickhead

Batting is the problem again who would thought. Again most of the batsman were dismissed going too hard in some pretty soft and ugly dismissals.

Not a bad throry mate but that will never happen. Roads, roads and more roads will be the flavour of this summer once again.

Youre definitely right about the roads. Kohli will make 800 for the series, it will be the only thing that takes them near a 5th day. India will bat for 2 and we'll bat for 2, only problem is we'll lose 20 wickets and theyll lose 5.

India won't want a repeat of the series in South Africa in January where they were rolled on green tops so they'll get the roads they want and will bat for two days and Kohli will make a truck load of runs like you said.

Let's be honest, the only time ODIs matter is at the World Cup and we've won 4 of the last 5.

Although, I'll admit, our defense at next year's tournament is looking shaky at best.

The Bedge's Absolutely Outrageous Three Step Plan to Restore ODI Competiveness
* Invest back into a DECENT, better structured ODD competition.
* Stop playing our ODD matches on shoeboxes built to enhance egos and mask deficiencies - we have world class grounds, use them.
* Stop selecting players on T20 form, pick those instead who perform in our ODD matches.

Major venues are in the transition from football to cricket when the ODD "season" is played.

The Big Bash **** everything and CA aren't playing around with that.

Our domestic summer is ******, it's not one bit designed to allow our domestic cricketers the chance to force their way into the national side, sans November.

October - ODD
October / November - Shield
December/January - Bullshit
February/March - Shield

I agree with what you're saying, but I don't agree it's the right format and if CA are fair dinkum they'll find a better way - or go back to how it used to be.

Otherwise, if they insist on structuring the season the way it is currently, then they need to invest in upgrading venues in each state so games can be played on grounds bigger than a primary school.

Surely each state has one or two appropriately sized grounds that could be used?

Big Bash > will never be "how it used to be".

The "old" format of a shield game followed by a day ( or two ) off and then the One dayer was the best format, it meant our first class cricketers we're playing both formats, regularly, no blocks of one and then the other.

its all coincided with the introduction of uncompetiotive cricket for kids about 20 years ago where every kid gets a participation medal.Junior cricket now is structered too much towards participation numbers rather than developiong talent. CA only want to brag that they have are the no1 participation sport in the country to position themselves for top sponsorship dollars. The talented kids are being left behind in their needs because we are catering too much for the kid that will never play cricket past the age of 14 or 15
