I’m not a fan of him either but he does have the runs on the board this year and last and he would value his wicket more than Mitch Marsh and Finch.

Talk is that Handsombe and Marnus Labuschagne will replace Finch and Mitch Marsh for the 4th test. Sigh

Why the sign? Don’t you know Handscomb crunched runs in the Mickey Mouse cup against a B grade bowling attack? He’s now in red hot form!

#sarcasm

Yes, listening to Boof on the radio coverage yesterday he said they named a squad of 13 for both tests. God help us.

I’d play 9 a side and still leave Finch and Marsh out.
They are both useless at this level.

Would prefer Maxwell over Labuschagne but I think Maxwells papers have been stamped.

Agree Labuschagne has averaged 28 with bat and taken 5 wickets at 60 with ball. Indians would be terrified

Surely Labuschagne can’t play

Why do selectors all of a sudden think blokes will perform better at test level than they have at shield cricket.

ML added to the squad, he is playing. Selectors are cooked.

So we're replacing a medium paced Mong Darsh with a legspin Mong Darsh? I hope they drug test Trevor Hohns. Might explain the nickname 'Cracker'.

I remember the days when you had to perform and work bloody hard to get a baggy green.

appears not so these days, cricket in aust currently is cooked, going to take along time to recover

What a ridiculous selection, probably the worst test side in Australian cricket history.

The only issue I have with Labuschagne is that after the series against Pakistan where I think he was starting to all right he needed to come back to Aus and keep making runs.

It was the same problem as with Renshaw, they just haven't made any shield runs.

Because 30 years ago a few selectors plucked Ian Healy, Steve Waugh and Mark Taylor from nowhere and they had a bit of success. It hasnt happened since but it doesnt stop the selectors from trying to be nostra fn dameous. In 100 years of cricket I dont think there has been too many to average more in Test cricket than Shiled cricket yet these muppets think they will buck that trend

The fact that Kerry O’Keeffe has had to pen an open letter and apologise & explain himself to the oh so easily offended snowflake brigade is beyond a f#cking joke. We are in just as must strife off the field as we are on it.

Crash Craddock reckons less than 3% of cricketers average more at test level than they did at shield level.

I’m not sure what his exact criteria was around games played etc
