I've been super impressed with his persona, attitude, conduct and respect this summer, even after he won the toss and was interviewed, immediately after it, as soon as the interview was done he quickly intervened before they interviewed Paine and wished him "all the best".

His speech on New Years Day was first class as was the one in the final presser.

I wasn't much of a fan pre-summer but I've certainly grown an enormous amount of respect for him since.

Why so Khawaja can be exposed by the spinners even earlier in his innings.

At least by opening or coming in at 3 (inside the first 5 overs anyway) he gets a couple of overs from the pacemen before his customary dismissal to a spinner shortly into their spell

Yeah very true, I wasn't a fan of his either. Still not really but I do respect him. Off the field he is an interesting person, he clearly loves the game.

Hrs had a good summer here in Oz. Well done to him.

So all series you hear we need blokes making 1000's and 1000's of runs at shield cricket before giving blokes a go. Soon as a kid makes 200 we pick him. Blokes like David Hussey and Jamie Siddons must be shaking their head, poor blokes never played test cricket, they'd probably be Captain these days.

Unless we have a genuine all-rounder, we need six genuine batsmen, one of whom can bowl 6 overs a day, like Head or Maruns can, not force Marnus to be an all-rounder and not be disposable based on his bowling.
I don't like Head-Pucovski. Head is a number 6, especially at the moment, and they are trying to force Pucovski. We need Head at 6 and a batsmen with a better technique and patience at 5 and at that moment that is Marnus or Burns.

Although his dismissals were very ordinary you have to take into account what he had done before being dismissed, he was our leading runscorer for the series and he is a high risk batsman, I have my concerns how he will go on the seaming English decks.

Agree he is high-risk and that's why I'd have him at 6, and he did help set up our first innings and Adelaide and Perth, but at other times didn't do what was required in the context of the game

If Australia is to regain ANY sort of credibility, those 2 should never to be seen in Australian colours again.
