Still annoys me that it has happened 2 and a bit years too late and not even be at least considered until now.
On the radio on Friday they were talking about Patterson when he was batting and they did mention how Maddinson was selected over Patterson in November 2016 and I got the impression they were trying their best not to blatantly say it was a bad call.

As for the guys Northerner mentioned, whether they're completely up to international standard or not at least we have plenty of options (12) around the squad and to choose from eventually. England don't appear to have the same amount of options with the stick.

My Bad... I didnt even list him and yes he is a better option than all the above listed six. So its Warner along with someone followed by Uzzie Smith Head and Patterson. So Renshaw Bancroft Harris or Burns vying for the final spot.

Drop Starc for Richardson? On wkts that offer no movement Jhye struggles. There are many Test batsmen who would hope to not see Starc play. He will play and will have his moments.

Richardson - 12th.

I reckon that's what we will go with. The next few shield matches will be very important when using the dukes. For mine Patterson should play as he has the first class runs up, Labuschagne is the one for mine that would miss out for Smith. We really need Smith back but he needs to get some longer form runs soon.
