The thing is he was never this bad, he started off well as a commentator I thought but now he's become a parody of himself.

Slater was terrible. Was watching on foxtel but it was playing up so flicked over to 7 & lasted 5 minutes listening to him before I went back to Foxtel & just lived with it playing up. Was better than listening to Slatts

I listened to Slater on the CPL earlier in the year, over hyped rubbish, didnt hear him last night but sounds like he was the same.

Fox was brilliant last night, no ad's and no cross promotional rubbish.

How did Carey NOT get Man of the Match? He scored 70 off 46 - next highest score by anyone was 33 so Carey has doubled every other batsman in the match but the Award goes to a non-Anglo Saxon spinner who took 3 wickets with those wickets being the #6,#9 and #10 batsmen...

I was a bit shocked myself, thought Carey would've got it - but I guess if Khan didn't take 3/18 off 4 overs or whatever it was, the Strikers would've been chasing a hell of a lot more.

Khan put the brakes on the innings and slowed them to be 9/100 or whatever it was.

The Heat innings had already started to implode before Khan got his first wicket - yes he bowled well for the collapse to continue but I would have been more accepting of his award if he had removed #1, #2 and #3 for example instead of 6,9 and 10.

Yes I agree- Carey prob should have got the MOM
However
If you muck around with what they did, there is this equation

RDMAL FORMULA
This is based on a team total innings total using individual figures
Carey 70 off 46 =about 180 run total
Khan 3/18[4] = all out for about 60 off about 13 overs

If we use the RDMAL formula, Khans performance is better
But like DUCK/LEWIS it does not take all variables into consideration, Khans economy was great, but 2 of his wickets were tailenders

I didn't hear it as I was watching through the window but should Carey have been given out on 50 from trying to glide it down to 3rd man?

Qadir should've got MOTM, for the Renegades, crap over.

Once again, the MOTM was wrong, does it have to go to an import?

Christian, 3/22 off 3, gets an opener out bowled who top scored, dismisses number 5 and 6, scores 13 not out to steer the ship home.

Shinwani, 2/17 off 4, bowls a makeshift opener out and the number 7.

Goes to Shinwani?

Yep fully agree - 2 BBL matches played and 2 MOTM decisions made to keep the PC police happy.
Cricket Australia clearly going down the path of the AFL - annoying and disenchanting the greater number of traditional fans whilst trying to attract a new set of fans to the sport.
And they will regret expanding the BBL to a 14 game minor round - will be a bad case of BBL overkill by Feb 2019 but the TV stations are chasing those all important Feb TV ratings and so sport has to do what the TV networks command.

That's why he got it. 4.25 per over is more valuable than wickets
