Warne is the best cricketer I’ve ever seen. Made the ball dance and understood the game better than anyone. He’s one of the very few cricketers in the history of the game that you could show his footage in 50 years and it would still shock people.
Can you bring a man to his feet when defeat is on repeat?

He didn't hit the ball he caressed it.

Was at pub with a mate last night (who played in jnr rep teams with Martyn) and when he hit that cover drive on day 2 (off Hoggard I think) we both turned to each other and moaned.

I cant think of a better timer of the ball I've seen, M Waugh maybe.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

If only he had a bit more patience, to have such a great record and to be such a sweet timer of the ball it is a shame he never reached a double hundred.

Adam Gilchrist for mine, more so for his aerial hits that just went for miles when he hardly hit it, or Viv Richards as he made it look so easy, and on bigger grounds.

I was out last night so ran the CA app through the car to listen into the call, obviously no cricket was on but an excerpt of an interview with Andrew Strauss, Glenn McGrath and Jonathon Agnew was. Ruth Strauss passed away in December 2018 from a rare lung cancer. Day 2 at Lords will turn red for the Ruth Strauss Foundation much like Sydney turns pink for the McGrath Foundation.

Jonathon Agnew's wife is currently in remission from breast cancer. We all know the Jane McGrath story.

The podcast can be heard below. I'm not crying, you are.

Heard it last night, you could hear the pain it was still causing them even though they were putting on a brave face. Hope Lords is covered in a sea of red tonight.

Not a fan of sending them in. Win the toss and bat unless both pitch and conditions are both 1) very difficult for batting and 2) likely to improve.

Seems a bit negative to me, especially given we won the first test playing positive cricket.
