Will Pucovski would be the only one based on last season's SS stats, Doolan and Larkin did ok but their averages aren't great and that includes an unbeaten 175 from Larkin.

You wouldn't even mind a 4/2 split, as long one was an opener, but L,L,L,R,L,L plays right into the bowlers hands.
Joe Burns has four test centuries and an average in the 40s.

I would've gone with him for the 1st test.

I find players that have lost their spot a couple of times respect their baggy green a whole lot more.

You know your team is ordinary when you have a list of 5 to drop and only one that you would promote....

Just saw a replay of Labuschagne LBW

Did he review it?

What did ball tracking suggest?

Certainly looks to clearly have hit him outside the line of off stump

Hard to be critical of Australias batting overall in those conditions

The guys that made runs (only 2 of them) could easily have been dismissed early with both playing and missing many times
Kawahja unlucky to be caught down leg
Head got an unplayable ball
Wade unlucky with ball bouncing back to clip the stump.

England have certainly had the better of favorable bowling conditions so far this series but the fact remains they have still yet to have ZERO to show for it being 0 - 1 down in the series nearing the half way mark.
I reckon if Australia can limit England to 250 - 260 they are in the box seat to win this Test and retain the Ashes.

Yes, he did review, hit him on the back pad and was going on to smash into middle.

 That staggers me to hear that watching the replay

Too bad the umpires wern't the ones we have in B & C grade in country cricket. Seems that every full toss above shin height, they cant call No Ball quick enough

Woke up during the night just in time to hear the collapse. Paine is digging his own grave rapidly. Wade unlucky but 1 innings out of 5 don't cut the mustard. Khawaja is a pamphlet, looks the goods but has f**k all inside. Head's nervousness at the start of his innings is Stan Darsh like, as is his proclivity to blow a start. He's developing but needs to be smarter with his shot selection.

Paine didn’t move for that.... Warner’s a flog but that’s a good catch.
