5/69 for Lyon, his first five wicket haul against Pakistan, New Zealand is now the only country he hasn't taken a five wicket haul against. He has also taken 50 wickets at Adelaide Oval.

Good for him to get a bag and put the game beyond doubt in the second innings, since his 6/49 against England at Birmingham he's taken- 3, 0, 0, 2, 0, 2, 0, 4, 1, 1, 0 in each innings he's bowled before his 5 today.

Boult, Southee, Wagner, Henry, Ferguson look alot more threatening then Abbas, Afridi, Musa, Shah, Khan so looking forward to seeing how our top 6 go against them.

Travis Head became only the third Australian to play in a winning Test where a player didn’t bat, bowl or take a catch. Easy money for him n

Watching Wasim Akram after the game when asked who was the best batsman he bowled to, responded with Martin Crowe. The bloke was an absolute genius with the willow. Gold to see him have swipe as well when he said that before the other sides knew about reverse swing they referred to it as ball tampering.

The 2 Tests they played against the Poms were both on ROADs
NZ won the 1st Test only because Eng gifted NZ most of their wickets on the last day to atrocious shots.
I'd expect Aust to be just a little too good for NZ over 3 Tests but certainly hoping for and expect a tight series as there has never been a more underwhelming start to an Australian International Summer in History surely ????

The best part of the Summer so far is that Aleem Dar hasn’t umpired yet.

The road was a bit of a let down, if we played India it would've been an 1800 run match with less than 20 wickets to fall.

I think they're a lot like us, not half as good when having to travel, both countries provide pitches to suit themselves.

I hope they really challenge us though.

Pope grasses Williamson off Stokes.....only kept a handful of times at First Class level.

Meanwhile a competent English gloveman is shifting iron in a Gym in Marion, South Australia and playing Club cricket.......

Very poor, not as bad as Denly's effort dropping Williamson off Archer just now.
