Pakistan have named their T20 and Test match squads to face Australia this summer.

Azhar Ali is the new test captain and Babar Azam will skipper the T20 team. Former captain and wicket keeper Sarfaraz Ahmed was not named in either squad and neither were veterans Mohammed Hafeez and Shoaib Malik.

Usman Qadir, son of Abdul Qadir has been named in the T20 squad.
16 year old Naseem Shah and 19 year old Musa Khan (both quick bowlers) have been named in the test squad along with 19 year old Shaheen Shan Afridi. Mohammed Abbas who killed Australia with 17 wickets @10.58 in the two test matches in UAE last October has also been named.

The first T20 between Australia and Pakistan is on November 3rd at the SCG.
The second is November 5th at Manuka Oval and the third is November 8th in Perth.

The first test is November 21st and the Gabba and the second test is November 29th. The Adelaide test is a Day Night match.

Before they face Pakistan, Australia will play Sri Lanka in 3 T20's, the first on Sunday October 27th here in Adelaide, the second on October 30th at the Gabba and the third on November 1st at the MCG.

Australia squad to face Sri Lanka-
Aaron Finch, Ashton Agar, Alex Carey, Pat Cummins, Glenn Maxwell, Ben McDermott, Kane Richardson, Steve Smith, Billy Stanlake, Mitchell Starc, Ashton Turner, Andrew Tye, David Warner, Adam Zampa.

Is Usman Qadir the player that was playing with Western Australia and potentially looking at Australian citizenship.

Given the death of his father and both of their previous comments of the Pakistani hierarchy in the media, I think a massive olive branch has been extended to the family

Chris Lynn makes me laugh, I think he made himself look silly tonight after expressing his disappointment after not being selected for Australia.

On Tuesday Lynn expressed his disappointment at the lack of communication between him and the selectors over not being selected in T20 sqaud and fair enough. For Trevor Hohns to say in a press conference when the sqaud to face Sri Lanka was picked that he didn't even know if Lynn was in the country or not is piss poor and very, very unprofessional. When I watched the presser I thought straight away that is a cringeworthy comment and has to be some backlash of it, how does Hohns not know where the all players are before that press conference and the sqaud announcement? How do cricketers in and around the top level not have consist communication with the selectors? I remember John Holland complaining about this before. I'm no fan of Chris Lynn but this just reaks of incompetence. Trevor Hohns also makes me laugh, I don't think there's more insufferable person in Australian cricket.

Anyway for Chris Lynn to come out and say that makes people stand up and take notice and after that you'd think it is time for Lynn to let his bat do the talking and make some runs to show the selectors what they'll miss out on. Getting knocked over for 3 off 7 deliveries tonight doesn't help him whatsoever and IMO makes him look silly. Also goes to show the selectors probably made the right choice.

Was Lynn in the last T20 squad? To me you only have to inform a player who has been dropped. If he wasn't even in the last squad you don't need to call him. Don't think they call every cricketer in Australia to say you didn't make the team. If he was in last squad then i agree he should be informed before its announced (no matter what country he is in). He will probably never play again now like Brad Hodge when he spoke out

No he wasn't, Australia's last T20 series was against India in February and Lynn wasn't in that squad.

Mark Waugh, Brad Hogg and Ian Chappell all pretty much said what you said about this situation.

Did they tell Wes Agar he wasn't in the Australian squad??? …. No they didn't, just shut the **** up Lynn. There probably isn't a cricketer I dislike more than him, his commentary makes me turn it off, has the biggest ego in Australian cricket. Has never made a run against quality quicks, well actually has never made a run against ordinary quicks, just shits himself, gets off on beating up on meds in the big bash

Why is Malinga still playing? He's a "witches hat" in the field. Surely they can find someone younger.

Didn’t he get a double hat trick not long ago and is still considered one of the best bowlers in the world in T20’s?

Took a double hatrick against NZ last month and took 5/6 for the match. He has the most International T20 wickets- 104 @19.38 from 77 matches with an RPO of 7.25.

Granted, but he's 36 and it's time for Sri Lanka to look to the future.
