Ferguson's 97 is the story of his career. Almost, but not quite.

Thought the same when I saw what he scored.
Finishing 4th in the most SS runs for SA and playing the second most matches overall is a fantastic effort, been a great servant of SA cricket- 16 years playing for the Redbacks, a team that has been a genuine cellar dweller for most of that time.

The social media posts about him today were a nice touch, especially the video of him walking off Glenelg Oval through the guard of honour made by the SA and Queensland players and staff, a gracious goodbye for Ferg.

The way he appeals and carries on is pathetic, the way he stands there when given out LBW when plumb is pathetic, the way he bowls and then carries on when it just misses the stumps is pathetic.

I suppose we will be cheering him on soon when taking on the Indians

I think he'll be on my list by the end of summer, we overlooked the bullshit before because we were consumed by his talent, much like Smith and Warner a few years ago.

I'm no Marnus fan, I reckon his bat twirling antics are ridiculous.

To be honest, I'm still not back in love with Australian cricket, still too many wankers in the side and listening to Langer for more than 5 minutes is like being stuck in a car with 3 girls and 1 Taylor Swift CD on a road trip.

Agree! I find in the last 5 years we have a very unlikeable bunch of cricketers. Ive always supported both the Windies (Mum & her parents are from Jamaica) and Australia where I was born but my passion for the aussie side over the last few years has declined.

The one day side isn't much better either with the likes of Zampa and Stoinis running around.

Maybe its just im an old bastard grumpy and the next generation.
