He's arguably got three innings (maybe only one if we cash in here) to save his test career

I would've gone Usman on that stat alone, I wonder where he ranks?

Hunt was in form, if no one is banging down the door you at least look to see who has made their way to the doorstep.

Uzzie has only seven innings as opener but average a tick under 50. it includes his innings opening at Adelaide when he was actually supposed to bat #3 but Warner was injured.

66 as #3 77 in total

Because they're more focused on getting their call right so they don't look like a dill with a review, they know it doesn't matter if they over-step and they miss it, it will get seem to regardless.
But Stokes has bowled about 6 already yet none have been picked up.
Wait until someone loses a test by a couple of runs

Yeah, I do agree, it is frog shit, when they get paid as much as they do they should be more observant, it's not Grade 5 PDCA sort of shit.

If either of these blokes ton up here the current test squad is only for the first two tests....

a ton and a 50 for Patterson in his last two innings....

I thought umpires were no longer instructed to call no balls, but the third umpire has the responsibility of checking each ball. I can only assume that the technology failed or Blocker was asleep at the wheel. System works well in India where a siren goes off if the bowler over steps.

Feel for the next England captain to win the toss at Brisbane in future Ashes series

Might be " lets not worry about the toss"

Australia you can decide what you want to do

Not a bad thought. Currently he's a bit of a gun for hire in T20 comps around the world. Only played 5 tests for Afghanistan. Doubt he has a huge desire to play the extended form of the game. That said, I'd love to see the Redbacks make him an offer he couldn't refuse, ti see what he could do in Shield cricket.
