Shane Warne dead!

Warnie wasn’t perfect and I’m sure he wouldn’t want people to think that.
I had no issue with Sam or what he said.
A small bit of humour was needed from someone
His kids and family are well aware of his antics and it has made him and his legacy what it is.

He barracked for the Saints but he certainly wasn’t a Saint!
There are no stupid questions, just stupid people.

100%

I know his much maligned but I think he does a great job in the hosting role. Doesn't make it about himself, doesn't try and be a comedian and doesn't come across with 'fake' or over the top enthusiasm.

Thought he was a great choice.

A little harsh. I thought he was ok. You need to remember the Shane Sam knew was not the cricketer, father, brother etc, he was the larrikin mate who shared certain photos and details of his social life reserved for "the lads". It's all he knew of him.

Not sure if you have lost your sense of humour Booney being in isolation, or maybe Port's form, but I thought Sam was excellent. Was the most laughter for the whole night was his stories, re the golf etc. Thought he was brilliant. That is who Warney was, nothing his family, mates, kids, Simonne etc did not know. That is why he was loved by so many people. Have been critical of Sam over the years, but he was fantastic and everyone I have spoken to today has agreed. People on SA Footy have really lost the art of having a laugh lately

Not sure isolation ( which I'm 3 days out of ) or Port's form has anything to do with you not understanding people have opinions that may differ to yours. I have my view, I stand by it, I'm not alone. You have yours, you stand by it, you're not alone. That's how mature people have discussions, not everyone agrees on everything.

Totally agree, we are all entitled to our opinions. That was all I was doing, giving mine

Would be clearly 90/10 loved Sam last night from everyone I have spoken to today. Wide range of ages and sex.

So why bring isolation or the form of the team I support into it? Has no relevance.

If Sam had just said "I hope someone impounded his phone" and then moved onto another subject that would have been OK, didn't need to expand on it IMO.

Pretty much what I said to Mrs Boon, but that's Newman, he's not so clever.

Mrs Eags thought it was extremely funny, was pi55ing herself

She went to function when he spoke here and sat at same table as him with my Mum (RIP) and they both said he was one of the nicest people you could ever meet. Maybe we have different views of him because of this and so get the humour in what he was trying to say. We all loved it and topped off a brilliant night.
