Suck it up butter cup!
It's the best 2 teams playing a one off grandfinal.
No second chances, just bring your best for 5 days on neutral territory and see who wins.
India not picking Ashwin was such a negative move and I bet the Aussie bats went phew!

Picking the ashes bowling line up is going to be tough.
If Hazelwood is fit then he plays in my opinion at Starcs expense.
Boland has to play.
The batting seems pretty straightforward unless Warner fails dismally in the first test.
I'm so looking forward to this Ashes.
Bazball v. Just normal Australian test cricket.

all test match series' need to be a min of 3 tests.
The final should be the Test Championship series of 3 tests

Starc would have to go at 7 an over and not take any wickets for the first two tests to not play, a tall quick leftie gives our right arm seamers a better opportunity as the batters have to continually adjust the line, 3 right arm seamers plus Green is pointless.

Cummins is always first bowler picked along with Lyon and Starc, I think Boland is more dangerous than Hazelwood and Neser is a bees dick behind Josh as the next cab off the rank.

We have a great well balanced line up atm, the only thing I’d change is to have a left/right opening bat combination but although I’m not a Warner fan he deserves his spot ahead of Bancroft still and I just don’t rate Harris enough at international level, especially against the Poms in their backyard.

Agree with the first line but as Eminem says “you only get one shot, one opportunity”. If you make the big dance at a neutral venue, you have to bring your A game and leave nothing in the shed.

Two test series are pure frog shit, three tests at a minimum and a reserve day for each test if more than a combined total of two sessions are lost during the first five days due to rain or poor light. I don’t think the element of tactical run rates or declarations should be taken out of it.

Shubman Gill has been fined 15 percent of his match fee for criticising the TV umpire's decision in the World Test Championship final against Australia. India, meanwhile, have been fined their entire match fee for maintaining a slow over-rate while Australia have been docked 80% of fees for the same reason.

With respect to slow over-rate, India were ruled to be five overs short of the target while Australia were found to be four overs short after taking time allowances into consideration.

So AFL, NRL, soccer, all the world cup finals should be best of three?

Nup one test is fine.

No, afl, nrl don't have series between sides. Cricket does, similar to baseball

Went along to the WTC Final on Day 2. Ticked off seeing the Aussies play a test overseas. Best days play to watch as well I think, had it all.

Ripping day, English grounds are great to watch cricket at. Would recommend to anyone who has it on their bucket list.
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

I think cricket is a bit different where the coin toss is a massive 'game changer'. I understand India won the toss in this final but over the course of cricket history i would guess winning the toss has a higher % chance of winning the game.

I'm not sure winning the coin toss and winning the game would have any direct relevance in football / cricket. How often do you see a footy game these days where a team gets the breeze for 3 quarters. Most of these big stadiums have more of a swirl than a direct breeze in them.

It's a two year championship not a one off game. Test championship series bye bye neutral venue and hello Indian pitch doctors. A one off game is fine. The best format of cricket's grand final. It was fantastic I thought. England is a great place to hold the event but Lords would have been better as the home of cricket.

I agree that one test in neutral conditions is fine (albeit if England qualify it would obviously cease to be neutral). My view might be different if it were based off results from say four years rather than two.

They're outright crazy on Instagram too, I left a comment saying We Are the Champions, top of the World baby! On a post celebrating the Aussies win on both the ICC and Cricket Australia pages and one Indian left a reply threatening they will come to Australia and murder my family and another one wrote that India will take over Australia and all Christians will become Hindu slaves. Both were blocked and reported. A few others replied aswell saying Cheater or Australia cheated.
