Who would be the people making the contact with Elgar in the first place, if not Nielsen and Gillespie?

Straight out of the Tim Nielsen playbook - more failed interstaters. This would have been initiated while he was still in charge.

Funnily when we played players from PC clubs we did ok at the end of the season, Kelly, McInerney, Winter, Brazell didn't disgrace themselves.
Would been nice if they gave Drew and Smith the chances they give Lehmann, rather than band aid with interstaters.

Don't think changing the name back to South Australia is representative of cricket currently in South Australia.
Maybe liquorice allsorts should be the way to go.

Surprised Armchair hasn't posted about it yet, Agar, Stoinis, Behrendorff and Tye not offered contracts by WA in their new contract list.

I assume the other 3 will just play 20/20 games

Very concerned the SACAM list won't be finalised until next Friday but if he was on his way to SA I guess it would have been announced by now

Yeah most likely, Behrendorff and Tye haven't played shield cricket since 2017/18.

I'm thinking SA should try and bring in players who play Shield cricket to start with and not blokes who can't get a game in their current side.

Revolutionary I know, but it just might work.

True but………..

If you’re getting a game in your current Shield State, why would you come here?
Other than a few extra $$$ which wouldn’t be much anyway why would you come to a shit show that is the SACA/Redbacks?

Guaranteed to bat twice each match.

On the other hand, you don't get to play against the Redbacks...
