He might go OK - NZ need him to. They always seem to leave everything up to Stephen Flemming - when he fails, so do NZ.

Look for Vettori taking a few wickets tonight, pitch should suit him well.

it seems like a trait of Watson's he either hits runs or gets out really really soft. Needs more consisentcy in his batting even if that doesn't equate to consistent runs.

240 would be a easy task for NZ but this pitch is offering
some assistance to the bowlers.
Maybe the aussies in a thriller.
How does Johnson bat in front of Bracken?

9/ 240

competitive total under those conditions, new ball will be crucial

would of liked another 15-20 runs, we fell away a bit in the last ten overs, only 2 boundaries in the last 10 overs

my prediction, Aussies by 17 runs

There is still one thing missing from the current Australian side - SK Warne.

If he was in there, we would rarely lose an ODI, I think. Unfortunatley his time for a push for the World Cup looks to be over.

Good game.

I enjoyed watching the Australian innings, seeing us lose two quick ones and have to rebuild. Enjoyed watching Fleming's captaining (he's good, but christ, stop raving about him please) wondering what to do with the field, and Franklin.

Commentators said some silly things. When Hussey lost his wicket Bob Willis said "Franklin deceived him with pace". Umm, the ball was on the "wide" line and money for jam. Hussey muffed it up.

Ponting and Symonds really played well.

The Kiwis didn't bowl that well to be honest. I can't remember all of the wickets, but I'll list the ones that were with "wicket balls" :

None. All the batsmen got themselves out really. mind you, it is ODI cricket - a batsmans game.
