THIS POLL COULD ALSO INCLUDE ELLIOTT

Elliott is South Australias best bat along with Lehmann. He's had two bad games in a row like most of the redbacks. For the redbacks to go anywhere he is the key.

REDBACKS SIDE NEXT PURA GAME

M.Elliott
D.Harris
C.Borgas
M.Cosgrove
D.Lehmann
S.Deitz
M.Cleary
C.Bailey
J.Gillespie
D.Cullen
S.Tait

For me the equation is a simple one. I lost interest in this match when I saw Manou still in the team, and the batting line-up unchanged from last match. If Manou is retained for the next match (and I fear he will be), I'm giving the Redbacks away, at least for the rest of the season.

He probably has enough selection credits to get him through until until Xmas, if the side keeps losing though and he doesn't make runs he will be in big trouble...

ELLIOTT is not SA best bat along with Lehmann
2 seasons + still to make 100 in p/cup games ?
and he cant field to well
and he dropped 2 catches this game at least
he is 35 and looks finished
he is better suited as a middle order batsman perhaps
great career
but enough is enough
suggest 2 more games tops or out.

SOrry this poll was about MANOU
2 more chances as well, agree with Tassie1980

If Manou is dropped now (i'm still undecided as to whether he should be), and he is off the radar of SA cricket, who is going to be the next captain when Boof leaves in 2 years time??

Not many stand out candidates.

I think he will make it to end of year considering he has had a few bad patches and reatained his place still
plus he has still yet to peak and they will want him around when he does. Still a chance of been next captain
also he is goen out with tamsyn lewis

You can't keep him in the team because he might be the next Captain, you just create more problems down the track. Everyone says he is a top bloke, has potential and a great leader but at the end of the day you should get picked on form. No other player has had such a free ride and is only picked becuase he 'mixes' with the right crowd. I guess what compounds the argument more is that Dietz is there and perfectly capable of keeping and would be a solid number seven.

What are the chances of Blewett getting a call up. Have seen that he has been performing fairly well with the bat for Kensington.

Cameron Borgas. In 2 years time he should be one of the premier batsmen in Australian cricket.

Dietz has had a good start to this year with the bat. If he continues to be consistent and Manou continues his current form, I think it's warranted to drop Manou. However, I'm going for another chance at this stage while keeping an eye on Dietz.

Hey listen. I've been bitterly opposed to Manou's inclusion in the team ever since his first game. Nothing has happened to make me change my mind ever since, as a matter of fact he has done nothing but prove he is not up to it, neither in ability nor aptitude. If the Redbacks bainstrust haven't worked this out by now, then they cannot be taken seriously. I will support any team if I think they are fair dinkum, but Manou is obviously a favourite who gets a game regardless.

What will really annoy me is if goes out tonight in the hit-and-giggle pyjama game and slogs a 50 or 60, and this will be good enough for him to keep his spot in the Pura Cup team for the rest of the season.

a mate of mine has been opposed from day 1 aswell.

I cant argue.

u cant carry a poor performing top 6 and a keeper who never chips in.

surely the excuse of him being a superior keeper wont be enough to help im ova dietz in the bed attire format
