WA 6/340
What an amazing innings after 20 overs WA as 1/170 odd
a total of 400 beckoned.
Langer 51 of 30 balls the fastest 50 in domestic one dayers
Gilchrist 131 of 95 balls, 2nd fastest 100, he made the 2nd quickest in domestic history.
Voges has the quickest, Gilchrist took 1 extra ball !
Hopes was sensational after conceding 5 overs 0/50 he came back in a great
spell to finish with 10 overs 3/74 and getting Gilchrist/Marsh[28]/Hussey[9] out.
For the 2nd time this week Jimmy got Hussey out cheaply.
WATSON PULLED A HAMSTRING AND WILL NOT BAT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
INJURIES NOT FORM WILL DISSOLVE HIS CAREER.
6/340 was dissapointing after Langer/Gilly smashed them.

RECORD ??? First 5 batsmen were all left handers
Gilchrist/Langer/Marsh/Hussey/North

What a player Adam GilCHRIST
Nice of NSW to clear the greatest batsman keeper to WA
And also cleared the greatest batsman ever to DON a cap to SA about 80 years ago.

Pity QLD will bat one short [no Watson]
WA have a very average bowling attack and lets not forget QLD hit 400 in a o/d
game against them not so long ago.

WA look winners.

Great to see Gilchrist back amongst the runs. I was getting a little worried there for a moment but should never have doubted the great man :)

Yep, you're right. He isn't ever fit for long enough to allow his ordinary form to dissolve his career

I agree. He could be the next Keith Miller if he could stay fit and if he had more ability.

Classic counter punch

QLD all out 259 [45.4] did a good job after being 4/80
Perron[55] Phillipson[73]

Did we all see the Wates catch to dismiss Hayden :!:
That as Ecky vouches was almost as good as the one I took in my
last game of cricket this year. :P

It was a pretty good catch. I also think Marcus Norths' almost catch on the half volley was a great effort and to actually field that cleanly was a great effort.

The catch North took late in the game was a ripper.
WA bat well
WA field well
If they could find a couple of fast bowlers they would win a pura cup.

ECKY as for the comparisms with the WATES/MAL catches.....
My 10 team mates that day all saw how good it was, they were lucky,
as for me there were no video screens for me too see how good it was :!:

A great game of Cricket. For someone who normally bags one day cricket, I must say I have really enjoyed my Ford Ranger cup so far this season. I was very impressed with the Warriors' fielding, especially Shawn Gilles who is very athletic.

Watto just can't take a trick can he? He must be gutted.

regards,

REB

ps - Memo Geoff Lawson: STFU about how hard it is for the 'poor old bowlers', it is one day cricket after all.

pps - Love the acronymn also for domestic one dayers..ODD LMAO.

ppps- btw, are there any metal fans who know what group had the 'Warrior came, warrior saw, warrior conquered' lyric. Extra points for Song, Album, Year 8)

pppps - no that's it!
