AUST V ENG 2nd test Adelaide.

England won the toss.
Must now be half a chance as this is a bat first + win the game venue.
I will give exclusive SAFOOTY reports on the game.
I did not go to the game as I felt obliged to report on the game :!:

Mcgrath is playing, phew!

EG 0/2

Personally I feel Australia will suffer not pickng a 5th bowler.
Symonds should have played, Martyn fortunate to be selected.

Drinks after 1st hour
EG 0/32
A typical Les Burdett featherbed.
Pitch will be a batting paradise for 3 days and by days 4/5 will disintigrate.
England has been gifted with a **LUCKY** coin toss + a chance to win.
Lee + Mcgratch looked inocous.
Clark + Warne will be our best wicket taking options.

2/58 LUNCH

The affable new pace bowling sensation Stewie Clark has single handedly
brought Australia into the contest.
4 bowlers tiring later in the day might be a snag especially with PIETERSON
to come in, one suspects the duel between KP + the bowlers will decide the
fate of this match.
If we can have EG about 8/280 at stumps we will do very very well.

Why just Lee? He has also "outperformed" McGrath and Warne.

GREAT cricket captains like MAL + REB wil always after a break
bowl thier best bowlers.
Ponting missed the boat.
After lunch he opened with Mcgrath + Warrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrney.
History supports that decision, despite being wrong.
As I watched frustratingly from the lounge chair I wished I was at the ground
to yell out to Ponting his error.
Stewie Clark the one man star performer sat in the outfield.
After the cursing and grunting he finally makes a change and its its its Brett Lee.
Lee 1st over cost 10 runs, whilst Clark would have been scratching his balls waiting....

EG 2/100 of 43 overs, the bird has flown, poor poor captaining by Ponting.
For the 2nd time today Clark has come on for a spell after Lee + Mcgrath got the
batsman's eyes in.

Who would you have as captain? I'm not having a go it is a serious question. I don't disagree. Ponting's captaincy leaves a lot to be desired but i can't come up with a logical replacement. Obviously Warne but that will never happen. Who else is there? Hussey perhaps?

TEA 2/140
BELL 50 *
COLLINGWOOD 50*
LEE 13 OVERS 0/45
CLARK 13 OVERS 2/23

A fighting 99 partnership between nobodys Collingwood/Bell has turned the
game back in Englands favour.
Collingwood unlike the AFL footy club does not crack under pressure.
Much MALigned Ian Bell continues to frustrate the Australian bowlers.
Warne has bowled very well but o wickets.
Clark is still bowling exceedingly well.

The game is stil up for grabs, I implore Ponting to use some nouse and
bowl Clark with either Warne or Mcgrath on resumption.
The lack of a quality 5th bowling option is as predicted beginning to hurt Australia

My prediction at stumps
EG 5/271

Boof opened with Cullen and Bailey in the tour match, and Bell and Collingwood batted out the session after lunch then too.

Why do I bother starting a thread if someone starts another one after I started one.
People can post in the other one.

Is that why you started it ten days ago? So you could call it your thread?
