the great Dan Harris is opening with Elliott

Dan Cullen has been selected over Cullen Bailey for the spin duties as well

Cruising along at 0-56 now, after being 0-10 in the 14th over.

Elliott 27*
Harris 29*

I would have much rather seen Bails in the XI than Dan. Ever since he was unnecessarily bowled and subsequently carted in that NSW game defending a low score, the selectors have somewhat shunned CB. He's a more attacking bowler and until Dan can rediscover lost form since going to the ICC Champions trophy, he should be considered our number one spinner.

Poor post scott. CA would not allow it to happen letting a recent national rep be replaced instead of state contracted player. DC will bounce back just lacking a bit of confidence at the moment.

Yeah well that's it, and CB suffers because of it. DC didn't bowl too badly in the recent one-day game (in terms of econ), but we needed wickets. I hope DC bounces back, and this match would be a good start.

SA 1-115 now

Dan Cullen is the real deal. Correct call to drop Bailey. Great spinner, but DC is a very aggressive bowler who will get wickets at Hobart.

If we have a Spelly equivalent out there somewhere, it would be interesting to know which players representing SA in either form of competition have scored a ton this year and how many times?

SA 5/298
95 OVERS
LEHMANN 37*[39] nearly a run a ball innings,a CHAMPION batsman.
DIETZ 8*[32] goodonya Shane a bit of resillience

batsmen out
---------------

ELLIOTT 43[112] well done Matty thats better
HARRIS 85[197] what more can I say, the champ performs every time when picked.
BORGAS 10[28] our 2nd best batter this year but missed out
COSGROVE 61[96] little cameo, but needs to make 100's
FERGUSON 38[68] another start, but didnt convert, neds a ton to blossom[for you ECKY]

bowling
---------

The BJORN BORG lookalike the resilient hard working sensational future Australian
fast bowler Adam Hilfenhaus a superb
24 overs
3/52

For those who can remember he reminds me of another barrell chested fast bowlin
sensation from the 60/70's called Graham Mckenzie who carried the Australian
bowling attack until Dennis Lillie burst on the scene.

REVIEW
---------
With BOOF still in we can push for 400 which is needed against the pOwerful Tasmanian
batting line up.
SA attack is superior to the TAS attack, a good duel v TAS batters.
If 400 is set I would expect TAIT/GILLESPIE/ROFE/CULLEN to get us over the line

ADVICE TO BOOF
---------------------

Use the 4 bowlers.
Bowl yourself to relieve the strike force
HARRIS/COSGROVE/BORGAS are not to be bowled.
I know one SA player reads this site, if you read this pass my advice on to BOOF please.
If KELLY or NOBES read this ring up BOOF and send the message.

NO HARRIS = JELLYBACKS
IN HARRIS = REDBACKS

Come on lads we can win this.....
