tomorrow at Adelaide Oval there is a one dayer with West End v XXXX.
On the news last night it was reported that Greg Blewett has been dropped from the team and thats on top of not having played in a four day game as well this season.
could that be the end of his career?
I would have thought Elliott would be close to getting dropped in the one-dayers, but no doubt his double in tassie has secured his place for the rest of the season and probably next year as well!!!!
ill be heading down there for the arvo session and may stay for a while in the second dig.
Hopefully the redbacks can give us something to believe in.

Yeah, not looking too good for Blewett.
Elliot should be aok for sometime yet as I think he's avergaing close to 50 on the back of that ton against NSW.
On another note I thought the topic was beer related. I've never been a XXXX fan but can safely say, after 5 days at the test, that WE Draught is far better suited to the plastic cup than Tooheys New.

SA will have a great opportunity to beat QLD
QLD will not have Johnson, Hayden and Symonds
SA will have Harris who averages 49 in o/d games
Its ironic Harris has replaced Blewett who in the 2nd last game last year made
an astonishing 103[93 balls] v QLD
Harris made 77[89 balls] in the same game
SA 313
QLD 245
QLD had thier strongest team in, when beaten at the Gabba
Cosgrove was the pick of the bowlers with 2/21[4] !!!!!!!!!!!

Why is Manou still in the team? Made less runs and has a worse average than Blewey. Bring in Deitz, who is averaging 50 in Shield matches.

Interesting listening to Blewett speak. Has been told by SACA selectors and CEO that no matter how many runs he gets for Kensington he will not be considered again. He still wants to play first class cricket and will go interstate if someone will take him.
Disgraceful by the SACA IMO.

Cullen and Boof bowled a few tight overs including a maiden and MAHER got out trying to hit it over mid off, in search of runs that have dried up.

Bollocks. What player have you been watching the last three or four seasons because that was about when Blewett's feet stopped moving. I watches some Ashes highlights the other night and Blewett at his best was a senstational player. A fantastic driver of the ball with a long reach, driving off that bended knee. With the pull shot he was as lethal as Ricky Ponting and that is saying something. However, in recent years those big shots just haven't been happening for Greg. In my view his feet just weren't moving enough for him to replicate what he used to be able to achieve at the crease.
Even bunnies like me who are C grade cricketers at best (when they've got about three short) know that footwork is one of the key components of Batsmanship. No feet movement equates to a real struggle in the middle and that is what has happened to Blewett in recent seasons. I would be appalled if Blewett were to take the place of a young NSW player for the Blues.

Blewett was a brilliant puller and hooker and had one of the best cover drives i've seen but he is past it now. He has struggled for some time with his footwork and the rest and hasnt scored a ton for 47 innings or something ridiculous.
Anyway Dan Cullen is bowling well, he has 3/24 off 8 overs.
Queensland are 3/163 off 34.2
