Keep an eye on young gun James Smith playing his first game tonight. Has scored 179 n.o. and 130 in his last two Grade games for West Torrens. Was named for the Sturt league footy team last year (not sure if he ended up playing) so is a talented all-round sportsman at just 18 y.o.

I just hope the umpires and SACA have a few extra balls for tonights game in case some more are hit out of the ground. A big test for Tait tonight, I'd imagine someone with his pace could be hit around a bit in the 20/20 format.

If he gets those in-swinging yorkers cranking, then the only thing that will be getting hit will be the stumps or batsman's pads plumb infront!

Lehmann did a hammy. Didn't look good. He struggled to walk off the ground.

Didn't realise it was the same young lad, is he from Mannum originally? I think i heard that during last footy season.

He's from Bow Hill.

Manou took over the captaincy last night with Lehmann off injured.

A good win, probably a bit lucky in the end as we seemed to be batting very slow for a 20/20 game. Thankfully the bowlers did the job. I still don't think we have the tactics right as far as our batting is concerned for 20/20 but a win is a win. :D

Our batting has been the concern all year, even Cosgrove only got 8 off 20 or something. Good to see our bowlers pull through yet again, especially Tait...hopefully he can stay fit now.

Any win is a good win atm.
They have been canned from all sides so the confidence could do with a bit of a shot in the arm.
I can still see some horror days with the bat coming up esp. now Lehmann is out.
Batsmen will be putting pressure on the bowlers to run through the opposition. Small totals will diminish the effectiveness of our spinners aswell.
