PREVIEW
-----------

A depleted and new look batting line up face WA in Perth today.
Likely batting order in todays press :
BORGAS
PLANT
ELLIOTT
D HARRIS
COSGROVE
CAMERON
DIETZ
R HARRIS
CULLEN
GILLESPIE
TAIT
BAILEY 12th man

I agree with ELLIOTT dropping down the list BUT should be another 10 spots down!!!!
He needs to bat about 5 these days, the new ball has defeated him too often for 2 years now.
ELLIOTT now captains the side with a sensational average of 20 odd in 2 years in p/cup.
D HARRIS to number 4 is interesting as he has been a relevation as an opener.
COSGROVE is now in his right spot he can now have lunch before going out to bat.
DIETZ at 7 Ryan HARRIS at 8 gives some depth to a suspect batting line up.
The bowling is our best chance of winning as the 3 quicks are in good form.
CULLEN needs a bag of wickets in the longer form of the game now.

WA look winners with a stronger batting line up if they get a start vrs TAIT/GILLESPIE
WA have an ordinary attack so ther will be some runs on offer if SA is good enough.
WA $1-57
SA $2-30

One last word no NATHAN ADCOCK ????????????????????????????????????????????????
___________________________________________________________________________

NS 189 +299
VI 129 + 5/289 chasing 360 for victory day 4
HUSSEY 78*
CROSTWAITE 22*

VI on a dodgey pitch set for an improbable victory
HARWOOD 6 wickets ist innings
KLINGER 102 2nd innings the stars[Klingers 1st game in p/cup this season]

____________________________________________________________________________

TA 1/123 V QL day one
Jimmy Maher sent TA in on the Bellrieve pitch, hmn smart move ?
The powerful TA batting line up on course for a score off 400+ and favouites to win.

Elliott droping down the list to 3 is still like opening the batting because he will be out there with 30 minutes of us batting.

PLANT is interesting made 100 in the NSW V SA game a couple
of years ago in the 2nd dig when we were out for 29 1st dig.
Infortunately his form fell away after that.
Yeah ELLIOTT might be in early MT79

MAL i think you are right about COSI batting at 5.

we are all fed up with him under performing but if we bat first he may be well fed before he is required to bat.

I wasn't aware of that. Quite staggering considering some of the players that did make the 30 man squad.

If he had it his way he'd also have lunch while he's batting

Might motivate him to hang around in the middle a bit longer

SA 2/47. Plant out for 13, Borgas out for 18. Elliott 15no (closing in on his average mal) and D.Harris 1no.

It could be a bit risky with Cosgrove coming in just before lunch. His thoughts may be elsewhere rather than on batting. Perhaps we could deploy a lunch watchman.

well ELLIOTT has taken on the CAPTAINS ROLE and done a SPLENDID JOB, he normally gets out for under 10 so to make 16 is quite a feat!!!!!!!!!

=D> =D> =D> well done MATTY

4/53 now. Harris gone for 5. Lets hope Cossie doesn't get concerned that there won't be enough left for his lunch and he sticks around for a bit.

Looking at that line up we pretty much have 6 opening batsman in the top 7 and you could almost consider Cosgrove an opener given he has played in that position in the one-dayers. I wonder if they all padded up at the start of play?
