Mal, given that star performance i can't disagree any longer. Watson should, without any doubt, be opening the batting and the bowling for Australia in both forms of the game. Stuff that Ponting bloke too. Watson should be captain. Easily the finest player of this generation. He has never failed to take his chance at international level. How the selectors have managed to keep him out of the side so frequently amazes me. If he is halfway fit he is still the best player going around. Get him in the Australian side now. :roll: :wink:

He ( Watson ) will obviously play in the ODI side again - but has Roy got in front of him for the 5 day game ???
