SA TEAM
HARRIS-BORGAS-ELLIOTT-BOOF-COSI-ADCOCK-DIETZ-BAILEY-HARRIS-DIZZY-TAIT
A very strong line up.

SA 3/105
BORGAS 38
ELLIOTT 0
LEHAMNN 0
HARRIS 57*

Our best 2 openers got us to 0/102
The it happened AGAIN ELLIOTT caught behind 0
After the 2 babybacks got us off 2 a flyer out perennial p/cup failure let us down AGAIN.
BOOF a duck as well :!: :!: :!: ]
At last D HARRIS is back opening...why on earth they made him a middle order batsman
is beyond comprehension with his record as an opening batsman.

NS V WA

NEW REB WALES 1/55
JAQUES 41*
KATICH 5*

Disagree theyre the best 2 openers in the state but a great start for the redbacks nonetheless

Could a knock in the head early lift cosgrove for a big one??

Looks like his sort of bowling attack once the shine is off it

4/116 now what a disgrace, Boof only lasted 2 bloody balls

HARRIS OUT 59 I wish he would make 100 soon to make me look good
SA 0/102 TO 4/114 yuk
SA 4/131
cosi 16* is long overdue for a big score
adcock 9* about time he was picked in a 4 day game

STUMPS who are the best 2 opening batsman for SA in p/cup games :?:

Dan Harris doesn't seem to be able to go on with it.. he gets past 50 and seems to get out quite often. He was still there when Boof was out which made it 3 quick wickets and he really needed to hang in there.

Adcock got dropped near the boundary and it ended up going for 4 then Cosgrove hits a boundary to bring up the 150.

Cosgrove 28... 6x4s
Adcock 16

Excellent summation with Dannys short career.
He is that 1 big score away from being an established player.

Meanwhile FERGUSON made 187 more in a grade game then the
guy who is in the side today that is taking his place :!:
For the cryptically confused FERGUSON made 187 in that grade match

SA 4/152
COSI 29* come on mate a big innings please
ADCOCK 16* come on Nath

The Watsonless QL attack has done Ok

MAHER
BROAD
MOLLER
PERRON
PHILLIPSON
HOPES
HARTLEY
SIMPSON
BICHEL
NOFFKE
DORAN

Kasper was injured in a game recently after bowling only 7 balls.
QL picked 2 spinners, strange.
Leg spinner DORAN didnt get a bowl in 2 innings at ADEL OVAL last time they played SA P/CUP

Mal, Not meaning to be a downer on things after a good opening partnership but IMHO, Im happy with harris, althogh if he needs to open to make runs he really does need to see a Doc.Borgas will do ok no doubt but i think he nicks too many ..
Against vic in the first dig he got dropped at gully, then got dropped at 2nd slip before being caught in the gully. in the2nd dig he got dropped at slip before he got out bowled.
Today he got caught at 2nd slip.
That is 170 odd runs for 6 chances- avge high 20's.
On current form I think Ben Cameron is the best opening batsman in this state , his technique and temperement suits the role, behind deitz (who should bat at seven because he's keeping). just opinions

I cant comment on BORGAS batting and his tendency to
be dismissed behind the wicket in slips/gully.
I can only say he has been consistent and gets the shine off the ball.
HARRIS is doing ok
Both are babybacks and must be given extended appearances.
I think they have done a good job.

CAMERON you might be on the ball with him being better :?:
I assume he has a knee injury after the VI games BUT if he was dropped,
I would be extremely angry and he is developing quite well.

CAMERON/HARRIS/BORGAS must keep playing

Ive watched cricket for about 40 years and Ive never seen a player
struggle and be retained in a team as in ELLIOTT.

MAKES ME VERY VERY VERY VERY ANGRY when younger players such
as FERGUSON are dropped before an outa form 35 year old player.
If CAMERON was dropped and not injured that would be the last straw.

SA 4/179
COSI 40*
ADCOCK 31*

NS 2/96 V WA
THORNLEY 5*
KATICH 11*
JAQUES made 71

KATICH has really taken the sword to the bowlers with an
excillerating 11[89 balls]

Apparently there was a presentation at the Allan Border Medal on Monday night where Graham Manou passed the batten on to Mathew Elliott for 'the most carried first class cricketer in Australia'. Apparently Elliott thanked the selectors and the SACA in his speach. Limited time prevented the presentation of this award being on on TV.

yeah not sure 'bout Cameron's injury status but needs an extended run. Surely barring a 2nd dig century to elliot, ferguson would be a straight swap...... Surely :?

The thing il say about Borgas, is atleast theyve picked him at the right time, he is having a superseason and full of confidence obviously... the selectors have made a habit of not picking people when theyre in form and picking people when they cant buy a run..

good luck to em....
,
adcock out.. deitz perfect foil for cosgrove to occupy the crease

CA

SA 5/199
COSI 54 *
DIETZ 6*
ADCOCK 31

Is this the day for COSI or another wasted start.
Score of 275 would be very competitive as the QL batting
line up looks fragile

NEW REB WALES 4/129
KATICH 23*
HADDIN 21*

Cosgrove has raced to 68 with 14x4s!
Deitz has 14

37 off 38 this partnership so far but they have to keep it up. At least Bailey has shown a bit with the bat and Harris will either smash a 50 or get out for a duck.
