England batting.

Tait wicket in his first over - Joyce LBW, full ball, swinging in, beaten by pace. Typical Taity.

Eventful over- smacked for four, big wide down leg side, wicket. Cut Vaughan in half. Typical Taity.

Eng 1/6 off 2.0.

Haddin and Gilly playing, Gilly keeping.

Cometh the man. The thing that England feared most all summer, the man they least wanted to face has been unleashed. The quickest bowler in the world has arrived, and no batsman in world cricket will be feelong particularly happy this morning.

Tait 4/33, and plenty to come. I'm strapping myself in to enjoy the ride. A batsman is never on top of a bowler like Tait. He will get some garbage from him and may hit him around for a few boundaries, but he always knows in the back of his mind he will get a brute of a ball that will clean him up. And if KP gets hit in the ribs by this guy, he won't be talking to the press about it, as a matter of fact he won't be doing much talking at all for some time.

And please don't give me any of this crap about neither side being serious about the result. England would have been very keen to enforce their "percieved" dominance over Australia who would have wanted to serve up a message to England they are still the better team. International cricketers are competitive people, and they would want to win a game of marbles.

Rumours of the death of Australian cricket have been greatly exaggerated.

Didn't see any of the game unfortunately but Tait must have bowled well.
The main problem that worries me with Tait is that he seems to be one of the most unlucky bowlers going around for having batsmen top edge fours and even sixes and also for batsmen french cutting him for four, which is going to be magnified here because of his pace and the small grounds in the Carribean.
