World Cup Minnows Theme Song

World Cup Minnows Theme Song
(to the tune of 'Gilligans Island' theme)

Just sit right back and watch the tail
a tail that begins with the game
We all try to call it sport
but it's always ends in pain

The keeper didn't even own his gloves
The skipper was unsure
Just a bunch of passengers not paid
To get drunk on the tour, drunk on the tour......

The amateurs soon cried enough!
For the minnows lost the toss
If not for the selection of the other crew
We'd spew about the cost, fans spew about the cost

Bunnies pound down into the turf of this fine West Indian isle,
like Canada and Scotland too,
Bermuda millionares, all in strife
Deviod of stars, all rounders are also rans,
at the West Indian isle!

So this is the tale of our cricket strays
They don't last for a long long time
They're here to chat up the sweet young things
Into bed they climb

The coach and the skipper too,
will always try their best
to justify this four year joke
that will not take a rest

No pitches, umpires or home grown stars
where will their cricket be,
Like World Series Cricket
It's primitive as can be

So join us every four years my friend,
Even though we won't win it
As eight imposter nations
Have a giggle and hit!

regards,

REB

Ah scaff, but I didn't say which teams were the eight imposters though! Kiss of death strikes again.
