St. Pats day indeed.
As I write, 5.45 am, Ireland is in with a chance, having dismissed Pakistan for 133.
Now that would be sweet. Pakistan's antics over the last year or two have not endeared it to fans of the game. Let's see the interpreter handle this one at the post match conference!
Anyway, by the time you read this we'll probably know.

4 runs needed of 44 balls 3 wickets in hand surely the luck of the Irish couldn't desert them now!!!

Well provided Bangladesh beat Bermuda (which they should do) and Sri Lanka beat India (highly likely), India will be on their way home too. How funny will that be, both India and Pakistan home early - that will do a lot for the TV rankings on the sub-continant......
If anyone saw the CT last year, whenever India didn't play, noone turned up, can hardly see them watching the world Cup if India are back home...

I wonder what the Ireland/Bangladesh double paid!

These results is what is great about the world cup...these type of upsets can really boost cricket...remember Kenya made the Semi's last world Cup...Bangladesh looked really impressive, perhaps they are the Sri Lanka of 20 years ago?
I looked last night and these were the approx odds -
IND $1.11
BANG $7.00
IRE $15.00
PAK $1.03
The double playing $105-

Hmmmm with India and Pakistan both losing to rank outsiders......is the fix in?
I'm sorry for ireland and Bangladesh that that is the inevitable question, but it is.
In context it's like the equivalent of a mid ranking SANFL side defeating any AFL side.

I think your right there, some eye brows would be raised.
Also think about the warm reception that India and Pakistan will recieve from there fans if they both come home early.
