OOH AAH is poised to become the leading wicket taker
in a World Cup tournament
he needs 2 wickets for the record

ADELAIDE HAWK where are you ?

MCGRATH = THE GREATEST O/D BOWLER WE HAVE HAD.

Ever since OOH AAH/WATTO/KP have been performing you have gone missing.
3 guys I have defended vehemently and they came good

At least the other knockers have continued to post

he has got the wickets because the batsmen have gone after him, he is at his used by date NOW, he has lost all is pace & is just bowling with guile (which is a credit to him) but yes he is a champion but a finished one

Might HAVE Been a great Bowler but a pity he was such a sook. Has no problem giving out sledges but is the biggest sook when he recieves it. Always carries on when he doesn't get the umpires decision to go his way, shaking his head all the time, knowing the cameras are him.
And what about during the recent 1 day series in Australia, i think it was Taits 2nd game in the series and was named ahead of Mcgrath in the batting order, I have it on Very Good authority that Mcgrath cracked a mental with Ponting and demanded he bat ahead of Tait, Ponting relented and switched the order only to see Mcgrath get a golden duck and walk off shaking his head as if hard done by again. What a TEAM Player. :butthead: :butthead: :butthead:

I have heard very similiar stories...............but it will never take away from the fact he is one of the greatest bowlers of all time, in both the test and one day arena.............his stats speak for themselves........

to you Mr Grath I tip my hat!!!!!!!!!!!!!........................a true legend....

Let me tell you Dutchy, he is a great bloke off the field... based on my 7 days with him when he played for the NT Invitational side in 2004. Took time to interact with my then 15 month old who was amazed people could get to be that tall.

He didn't crack the sh!ts when he batted 11 for us (Langer did the order)....

Like all champion sportspeople he has a healthy dose of what I call confidence and self belief others call it arrogance....

If you reasd some of his interviews when he retired he actually regrets the Sarwan incident now and freely admits the pressure he was under following his wife's relapse caused him to over-react

Not trying to compare them as bowlers but it is also one of the reasons why I don't criticise Andre Nel he has a lot of self belief too....

Well said TM.. he does have a bit of arrogance because he knows he's good like most of the Aussie team. I have no problem with that display on the field as it has brought them a great deal of success and makes them a joy to watch. I'd imagine he would be a decent bloke off the field, he is known as the practical joker of the team so it's pretty clear he loves to have a laugh, he is not just a self-centred prick like some are led to believe.

6 times this World Cup he has taken a wicket in his first over, that is an unreal statistic, let's hope he makes it 7 and then 8 ;)

Sportsmen go to visit burns victims all the time.

On McGrath, I have never met the bloke so can't judge him - would love to have a beer with him and find out for myself.

Glenn McGrath is a champion in every sense of the word. Like Warne - he hasn't faded at the end and will go out with dignity and as the best bowler at his craft in the world. A legend of world cricket - another great player who I am so glad to have seen who my future kids and grandkids will ask about in the same way I ask my old man about Lillee and other greats.
