Cameron White also scored 114 in that innings.

With Middlesex scoring 4d/600 as well, it's no surprise it finished in a draw.

why does that sum up what is wrong with their cricket- caddick yes he is 38 but he is still taking wickets, in last years county championship he took 63 wickets playing every 2nd game on a batters paradise, as evidenced by the above, in his career he has 1076 fc wickets at an average of 26.3.

andy bichel is 36 i suspect he will still be playing in 2 years time will thaty make australian cricket a joke? no of course not just as a comparison bichel has taken 725 first class wickets at 26.13

Don't think the value of a first class scalp is quite as high in County cricket compared to Sheffield Shield cricket. Plenty of military medium pace bowlers have taken a heap of wickets in county cricket but wouldn't get a game in Australia.

LOL May-Z. Comparing county cricket second division bunnies to the toughest domestic league in the World. Would you want Caddick at the Redbacks next year?

i am not saying that i would want caddick at the redbacks next year although he would be a better bowling option than ryan harris, i am saying that you cant just slag off teh value of the level of cricjket just because an older bolwer is playing- bichels first class record also includes a lot of wickets in county cricket and a lot ot the green seeming gabba where as caddick has been bowling on batsmens paradise half his life.

just because caddick isnt australian doesnt mean he is no good

Stats don't recognise divisions (it's still first class cricket), and JL's going to have a triple century to his credit.

but we can recognise that the game was played at Somerset's home ground which is the size of a postage stamp and Somerset would get nowhere near that total if they were playing on any current Australian 1st class ground

stats wouldn't recognise that either....

Bollocks MW. Bichel is a fine cricketer. He might not have been a gun at test level but his efforts duirng the 2003 World Cup were outstanding and even in his *ahem* old age he is still a formidable force to be reckoned with at Pura Cup level.
