Aussie Keeper dominating County Cricket - Alert!!!

New South Wales born English keeper Tim Ambrose has done it again for Warwickshire. Early in the season he smashed a brilliant 251 and today has smashed 135 off 82 balls in a 1 day game.
14 x4's and 5 x 6's against a decent Durham attack. Coming in at number 6 with the score 4-136 he absolutely belted them.
He is only 24 years of age and might be someone worth woo'ing back to Australian soil for a crack at the Aussie job in the years to come.

We have a good keeper/batsman as the Redbacks at the minute in Shane Deitz.

I reckon if Deitz didn't have to keep every match his output as a batsman would be much better

ANOTHER AUSSIE BORN KEEPER
Rikki Wessels is the son of the former Australia and South Africa player and former Northants coach Kepler Wessels. He is an extremely talented gloveman who also possesses a decent range of strokes. Northamptonshire have high hopes for him, and he scored his maiden first-class century for them in 2005 against Somerset. He played ten times in the Championship in 2006, consolidating his position in the side.

consolidating his spot during 10 games over the county season???? hmmmm hope you mean the 4 day competition cos he is far from consolidated....

Coz Shane Dietz has stood out a great deal in his career!
Why don’t we have a player other state teams fear, like an Adam Crosthwaite, Brad Haddin, Luke Ronchi.
All huge hitters and have shown it, Dietz isn’t a ripple in the water compared to them.
SA needs something special, apart from plonking tonkers Lehmann and Cosgrove, we’ve seen mediocre averages and perfomances from our batsmen for aeons now.
