AAAAAAAAAAAAGH!

Why does everyone start the good quizzes without me? :( I could have got most of those on my own!

but seeing as I only have leftovers.... I'll have to give you these. (btw, I cant believe, no one got these earlier!)

7. Isnt that War is over or Happy Christmas (that John Lennon song anyway)
59. This Time - INXS
80 - City of Soul - Eurogliders (the first concert I ever went to)
84. I could make you love me - WA WA NEE

more to come, I have to read them all properly first!

Indeed it is. But what was the name of the Aussie outfit which covered it? Hint: it was a one-off fundraiser (like Band-Aid) for a cause which would be very dear to your heart.

All other answers above (Tassie and FC) correct.

What, no more guesses? Is this quiz really that lame?!?

How about some hints to keep the ball rolling.....

4.
You made an impact. No doubt about that.
It was a good thing. Now I Want it back.

Late '80s. Brisbane based (I think) electro pop band.

5.
You couldn't make it harder if you tried
I used to trust you, then you lied

further lyrics:
"This love affair. I used to care.
Was once so good. Now I wish you would,
go on and ........."

7.
For rich and for poor ones the world is so wrong

Proceeds from this record went towards the Penguins around Port Phillip Bay. No kidding.

8.
My head is a kind of a boiled potato

opening lyrics:
"I spend my life in constant bliss.
I don't quite know what I miss.
I've seen God once or twice.
He's not too bad he's rather nice"

13.
Seek and ye shall find, that is what they say.

Lead singer is a scientologist!

14.
She got high heeled shoes, she got rhythm and blues, oh yeah

1986, just before the band jumped the shark.
"Could it be another man, well I just don't understand ......"

18.
Now's the time to assess the state you're in.
Can't afford to lose gotta strive to win.

"Just remember nothing stays the same.
It all depends on how you play the game"

21.
Lock it up so far inside and throw away the key
Like looking for the way out in a maze

Post Split-Enz band with a Germanic name.
"Whats right for you is wrong for me
We can only agree to disagree"

23.
I finally met an American who said he voted Reagan in.
He said he won't do it again if the world lasts that long.

Adelaide band.
"and the cops round here have different names
but they all sound just the same"

27.
I am covered in filth, at least it's my own
My smell, well you know you can't get higher

1987. Sydney based experimental artist.
Had a huge hit in the '90s with a dance remix of one of their earlier (1982) songs.

28.
Now they fall again on the streets tonight
And we're waking up every day,
Looking this way looking that way

" wondering who will come and end this game
of one more move and it's all over ".
PhilG wouldn't know this one

29.
We're giving you all the love you need

31.
I'm living a lifetime in every minute that were together
And I'm stayin right here forever

Disappeared to the USA and were never heard from again.

39.
I'm looking for an answer and I'm trying to find,
Why I think of you, all of the time

Perth band. This song made number 1 in Perth but didn't even chart in Adelaide IIRC. This song was also featured on an episode of Neighbours.

40.
Say goodbye. Never die.
A chance at one thing is surely something.

I'm not actually sure about "Say Goodbye"... it might actually be something phonetically similar to this. Hey, I only had a scratchy vinyl copy!
1981. This band had a big hit later in the decade with a very downbeat cover of a Creedence Clearwater Revival song.

43.
Red faced, red handed too, You caught me with my trousers down
You walked in the room after all these years then found I'm not alone

preceded by:
"I never realised you're comin' home
I never thought you would
Until tonight I was a single man
Without a worry in the wor-orld"

46.
Funk atomic bomb swept down from America

One hit wonder. The band name sounds like a pun on a kind of breakfast cereal.

49.
Another night has bit the dust
And we have done the things we must
Lay it down and let me help you dream

Singer used to be a cool father....

55.
I feel like an open book, page by page revealed.
You've opened the locks and doors, and broke the seals.

There's a movie out at the moment whose title is the first word of this song.

56.
I said, what's goin on, you're just showin' off
Well I'm crackin' down on your crackin' up

Penned by Tim Finn, whom I believe recorded his own version much later on.
"I can't slee-eep at ni-ight
Keep seeing men all dressed in white
And they won't .......... "

58.
There's a bar right across the street
He's got a need he just can't beat
Out on the floor, he shuffles his feet away

John Farnham once sang with this band

62.
Catch a glimpse, remember it forever
And still I try to keep myself together

See my handle

69.
It must be love
'cause every time I see you walk away
I need the feel of you to keep me strong

New Romantics, 1986. An italian sounding band name.

74.
So now we smile and we joke
And this pain is all behind us

One hit wonders.
"I remember a day when we could laugh and we could, cry-y-ee-eye
I remember a day when we thought our love would never, die-i-ee-ie
But we're *********
We're gonna face this break-up"

75.
All the time we were apart
I thought of you
You were in my heart
My love never changed
I still feel the same

A mass-production duet. The two singers did not achieve fame (initially) as singers.

82.
I got friction I can't stop
I'm a dancing spinning top

The wife of a singer referred to in an earlier clue.
The video for this song was the screen debut of Nicole Kidman!

85.
You give me one good reason to leave me
I'll give you ten good reasons to stay

The less attractive member of the duet from Q 75.

88.
I never had the heart to tell you what's going on behind your back.
I never had the soul to let you know why, I never should have come back

"You got me in to this, now you have to choose
You got me looking for ????? You put me into your shoes
You got me under your skin, you let me in, you...."

89.
So you think you're so refined, ahead of your time
Leaving all your friends behind, are you hoping to find
Love is a city, 'cause you're young and feeling pretty
But you won't even know your name

1980. Aussie and yet English too.

90.
Two things hang around, two things remain
Two little things have got us

One hit wonder from Melbourne, 1986. Band name sounds like a company.

94.
There's a corner to this room. A telephone chair, and memories.

From an Aussie movie.
I'm surprised LL didn't get this one....

95.
Honey you do me wrong but still I'm crazy 'bout you
Stay away too long and I can't do without you

A former Rockmelon.

96.
At this point in time I stand alone
To the phone I'm holding on
Outside people stare as if to say
We know there's nobody home

A Scot by birth, but he sang one of the most recognisable Aussie songs ever.

100.
You can feel it in a heartbeat
You can feel it like a soul
You can hear it in a basement
You can feel it in a backstreet

I'm not sure that the second line is complete, but it was the best I could do from a snippet of the filmclip on YouTube, which is all I could find. This song was released as a single but did nothing. Duet between the singer from a one-hit-wonder band (mentioned above) and a former Oz Crawler.

103.
You say you're undone by his kiss
But don't you think for once in your life it should be like this?

Female drummer. "Everything I have is yours, and it's ............."

107.
You know we used to have so much you understood me.
You never really understood me.

Opening lyrics:
"There is no place to hide, this time.
Don't let affection stray away"

109.
Oceans of passion within your mind
Don't want to be your posession before it's time

One hit wonder.
"I know, I know, you see me as your own, and you like that"

110.
I can't let it get me down.
Change my smile into a frown.

This song was sung by a bloke, however this band had more success in the nineties with a different lead singer, who was black & female.

114.
I live in a town much bigger than yours
Where everyone yearns and everyone yawns
I'm mending my head back into shape
With pieces of wire and rolls of tape

115.
What are you looking for, your world is in your hand
And you know just where your standin' by the way your heart's unfoldin'

Ex-Kiwi, female. Was lead singer in a band whose lyrics have already been sucessfully guessed in this quiz.

116.
There are murders, that aren't murders, and they happen every single day
We break our promises, we find it hard to, break away.

A couple of ex-Sportsmen.

119.
I don't need sociology, All I need's a hand to hold me.

"Just one hand, just one hand, just one, hand to hold me to you".
Adelaide band.

121.
Should I depend on them? Should I depend on all of them?

The lead singer was allegedly the inspiration for the movie in which Q94 was sung!

122.
'Cause what we had was strawberries and cream
Your favourite colours to make you smile

This band appeared on the Young Einstein soundtrack, but not with this song.
Clowns OUT. Smears OUT. RESIST THE OCCUPATION.

It's the Reels. Now deliver the song title to me, shout it out loud...

All other answers correct.

One nitpick: 116 was Andrew Pendlebury with Stephen Cummings, although Cummings later did his own solo version IIRC.
