A quick note about the Jack the Ripper question.

Of course we don't really know who committed the five murders in Whitechapel in 1888. The suspect which is now generally accepted as being the most likely candidate was a cotton merchant from Liverpool who commuted to London regularly at this time and all five murders correspond with his visits to the capital. That's opportunity.

The 'gentlemen' concerned had a strong resentment to his pretty, much younger wife* who had begun an affair with a younger man (in retalation to 'Jack's' earlier philandering, but it was ok for men you see). 'Jack' often refered to his wife as 'The Whore' and it was his 'betrayal' by his wife that suppsodely offers motive.

Royalty and certain members of the medical community were suspects at one time but Jack's 'surgical' skills grew with each outing. In a manner typical of many serial killers, Jack spent more and more time with each victim. The 'double event' came about when Jack was interuppted in his first kill of the evening.

Find 'Battlecrease House' and you find your answer. Remember, this guy is not the proven Ripper...just the most likely suspect in the eyes of history.

regards,

REB

*In a macabre post scipt, his wife was accused (and convicted) of poisoning 'Jack' who was an avid arsenic eater (a common 19th century practice).

Is there an academic tribunal where I can appeal my mark?

Because 3/13 is a puts me at the bottom of the homicidal class.

I only answered five questions due to the other eight already being answered correctly.

Eagerly awaiting Prof REB's correspondance.

Dear Mappa,

your carelessness has led to your detection and eventual apprehension. You left DNA at the scene of the crime, you failed to alter your MO and you have foolishly retained a bizzare selection of trophies. The detectives will be round to collect you shortly..hang on, they're at the door now. BAKE HIM AWAY TOYS.....do what the kid said.

12. Albert DeSalvo.

Even though he was never charged with any of the killings because there was no physical evidence to link him to them. There are strong doubts that he was in any way involved.
