I know this one but will give others a chance. Here's a hint 3 hour show at Thebby in 93 - awesome.

Damn, damn, damn you Leaper!
I was 15 at the time, obsessed with Don't Try This At Home, and was going with my then girlfriend to that gig. Then we broke up!
I haven't managed to catch Billy since.

C'mon Punky - Violent Femmes rock. Forget Blister in the Sun (sure that's over rated) and the rest of their staffs brilliant. Well crafted, enigmatic pop brilliance.

This has been driving me mad. It's a Lloyd Cole song but when I think of the ones I know It doesn't seem to match......it's a slower one so I'll say "Forrest Fire"

Soooo close! This would be his most well known song though

I have a love/hate thing going with the Femmes. I think they should have packed it in a long time ago but I love the '3' album - very dark and creepy in places.

I'd argue that "Brand New Friend" is his best known song, and it's not that. I'll keep singing in my head and see if I can get it.

Well, this would be his first single, the one that brought him attention for the first time then. Pretentious as all hell but I love it.

3 is a very good album.

Maybe their new music lacks the punch of the past - I haven't bought anything of there's since Rock! But, I don't think they necesarily should give it in. Saw em at the BDO and it was a huge highlight.

Are you ready to be heartbroken? \:D/ Phew! Now we can all get some sleep.
This one is actually playing at my place as I type. Sad but true. Hint it's a male artist and bonus bun for his real name.....

Well done LL

Pseudo will get this one

I could, but I'm damned  if I can think of his real name so I'll be sensible  and leave it for someone else. After all I'd only replace it with more of that '80s (c)rap.

Well since nobody else has claimed it, I might as well.

In the spirit of LL, the song happens to be currently playing on my computer. (Not one that you gave me, zipzap)

They exchanged a look
An hour later her voice shook
When her whispering died, she cried
Never wants to recover, she cried

Over 20 years old, British pop band, and anyone else would be utterly ashamed of listening to it 8)
