He released "I Should Have Known Better" later in the decade (1985) as Jim Diamond... but what was the name of the band he was in (actually just a duo, IIRC) in 1981?

Fischer Z was John Watts, not Jim Diamond... and anyway Fischer Z had a second 80s hit with "Perfect Day", thereby disqualifying them from this quiz. Hint time: the name of the band had 3 letters, none of them vowels.

I've got some queries over one hit wonders here, technical ones I know. A bit pedantic, but here goes....

Pete Shelley shouldn't be considered a one hit wonder, he was in a fantastic band called the Buzzcocks.

If you wanted to be technical as well, The Timelords weren't really one hit wonders as they were basically Bill Drummond from the KLF.
