Dianna was in fact Squidgy, a nickname bestowed upon her by James Gilbey who was having an affair with her. The name came out in recorded phone conversations.

Good thinking, Japanese... Perhaps Akido? (spelling most likely incorrect and the firefox spell checker only gives me "skids" as an option).
